Today's recommendation: Yonce by Byonce. Another great video if the wife and kids are away.

Quoting myself here -- Gesaffelstein in fact released a blurred version of the original video so I can safely post it here. Look for the unblurred one if you're not afraid of partial nudity. "Pursuit" has a bit less bass than the other Gesaffelstein tunes I posted but the drums kick hard and the video is awesome IMHO.

EDIT: that blur won't save your soul

Did not expect a new album the wife downloaded to have crazy bass but wow did it shake the crap out of my desk and give my back a nice massage.

Far from his best song but the bass is crazy

Was watching Palladia and came across Gorgon City on "Later... with Jools Holland", decided to check out their album "Sirens." It's got some pretty nice basslines. I haven't really had a chance to crank it, but I like what I'm hearing so far.

edit -- got to crank this up pretty good today; yeah, some nice bass!

This one in particular (don't know how the youtube video is, but on the album anyway) made a glass fall off.

If any of you play Destiny there is a track that plays during Public Events that is my favorite Taiko drum music ever.

The bummer is that while it's the best track in the game isn't on the OST =(

I have reached out to the composers and they know folks want it, they are working on a second disk with mostly ambient and event music, where the OST covered all of the 'themes'.

If you want your subs to really hum I heartily recommend putting Destiny through its paces!

This song is not a bass competition song, nor is it rap/club/techno so it does not have thundering bass throughout the song. But what it does have are a couple nice low frequency sweeps that start audible and fall off into tactile. The song is "Treat" by Kasabian off their latest CD 48:13. At 1:37 the first sweep happens, and then there is another profound one at ~3:30. This will wake up your subwoofer and make you take notice the first time you hear it.

This is not somethin I would be listening to myself. My girlfriend was listening to some music last night and she put on beyonce- partition. Hers version which I assume is the album version had like a minute or 2 intro to the song with her rapping. It has an awesome bass wave that from my ears goes from high to low and back to high. Sounds very very good. I had to replay it again turned up and I was impressed. Try giving it a try guys. Can also say it is one of her better songs she has releases

I just dropped this gem into my demo folder...

New stuff from Noisia with Evol Intent - Long Gone. Deep and dark DnB, my favorite.

Great work by Noisia as always. It seems I now have to buy their whole catalog.

Problem is, I've heard a few tracks by them that I can't find on any album. E.g. Block Control (EDIT: bass drop at 1:30):

I myself find myself listening to Dustup in a loop these days:

Another Palladia find: FKA Twigs -- Jools Holland seems to keep me interested, lol. They performed Two Weeks on his show, but I think Pendulum may be more sub material, plus it has some cool imaging effects.

It's another one that I can't yet crank because it's late, but from what I'm hearing thus far it seems like it'll be good when I get to unleash it, lol.

I just tossed this on with the volume low and could feel the drop in the beginning of the track...if I unleashed this track right now I'd bring down the full wrath of the wife, lol!

Speaking of noise. I think I found my box port resonance when sanding down one of my braces a few days ago. I brought my SPL meter in the room, sanded and held the meter. Depending on the amount of pressure I applied, I had my meter hit 125.4db. It was horrendous...

I was going to make a video of it, just for kicks, but I was chewing through wood too fast and kinda missed my opportunity...

Should've sampled the sound and used it in a dubstep tune, lol!
