The one I have, from the album, has a peak around 45 hz and drop after that rather much.

Here's a direct download link. Even if you don't "hear it" on your sub watch the cones move. I remember this one making my cones on my main left and right tower speakers look like they were gonna blow!!!! Subwoofers really begin pulsing - so slow it's fun to watch! I guarantee if you have the capability of playing sub 20hz on your speakers this one will REALLY do it.

Birdman - Always Strapped (feat. Lil Wayne).

This song thumps. If rap is not your cup of tea, you can find the instrumental version to it .
Another track that kicks and I believe has some really low stuff is "Young Jeezy - I Put On For My City".

My Epik Tower 15" woofer moves but you hear nothing.

You'll rarely hear anyone say, "I wish I'd gotten less Sub."

$ubwoofer$ and premium mango tree cultivar$

That is a vinyl rip (that sounds really distorted). So I think is just infra rumble from the turntable. No CD version I have tried is like this. So I would skip that rip and get the original one.

Post the original one that you have up on that site and I'll give it shot and report back to you if it does much on my setup. I do not hear the distortion you speak of on the one I posted, but then I've not listened to it from the URL either. Maybe the site re-encodes the mp3 or something upon upload. I'll try it streaming from the URL tonight and see if it sounds different than the original I uploaded.

The site don't re-encode the MP3 and I downloaded it and played it on my system. One can clearly hear vinyl pops in the rip and all the other vinyl problems. So I'm very confident that what you are experience is the rumble from the vinyl. I have had other vinyl rips with rumble that make the subwoofer go wild, but it is just a distortion, not something to reproduce.

Prodigy's "Smack my B*tch up" has very prominate kick drums. Not as low as some songs, but in your face.

Limp Bizket "Nookie" has some pretty low bass.

Zombie (whichever incarnation) "More Human than Human" has a big low end.

Prince's "Get off" has some decent bass, but it's down in the mix a bit (you can definitely hear it when you being the level up.)

An obscure club song, The Confetti's C in China has some nice bass, but you have to bring up the level a bit on it.

Ice-T's "Big Gun" (Tank Girl Soundtrack) has some quite low bass.

"But this one goes up to 11"

crazy music video as well, especially the "banned" one on Youtube. I would post the link but there's some nudity and drug abuse going on in the video...

That flac file you shared does not have the low rumblings - so you must be correct. Perhaps that the reason people prefer vinyls to CDs. I must admit -- I prefer my version of that song to the loseless flac version after listening to them both.

I am going to have to post this one, http://dubstep-remix.com/muse-knight...tep-remix.html

I have just recently found (dubstep) and this definitely will put some stress on the sub. And your walls, pictures... and yeah, all that stuff.

My first DIY project. A dual, dual opposed setup

Check out a song on the Worldbeat CD. The song is called Midnight and has near 7 minutes of a continuous and steady pounding bass line during the entire song.

RackNRuin - Dazed and Confused

Dubstep type music - very very powerful baseline. Sounds incredible on my PB13 Ultra pair. I heard a guy playing this song at the park in his SUV. I was really impressed with what I heard and went over and asked him what the name of the song was. Glad I found out. Purchased on Amazon for $.89

+1

Without a good sub, Hard In Da Paint is pure distortion. If you really wanna test your system this is the track...

Solid low bass, gotta love dubstep. I never liked until I got into audio... kind of an "AH HA!" moment the first time you hear dubstep on real speakers.

I need some good blues recommendations. (my music collection is horrendous). Eric Clapton seems to have some good stuff that would play nice with subwoofers (I could probably find some good stuff from him).

I'm not a big fan of traditional blues or blues/rock but for me Led Zep's first lp (which riffed or ripped off famous blues artists) gets lots of listening time by me.
John Paul Jones' playing is exceptional here and his shifting time signatures on II (and its few blues based tunes) make it an essential listen as well.

the baddest mix for bass is indeed dubstep. This is the best dubstep mix out there. An hour and a half of bass massage. to download search for Excision Shambhala 2010 mix.
