Here's a playthrough list of the songs we demoed at the recent KC Blind Subwoofer Meet linked in my sig.

http://kiwi6.com/file/vo80ks3b34

Here is the streaming link
http://k004.kiwi6.com/hotlink/vo80ks3b34

Unfortunately the tracks have gone through some conversions in the above link. We actually just played the originals using only MPTrim to shorten them. For the link above the original MP3's have been trimmed using MPTrim -> those same multiple clips combined using winamp nullsoft diskwriter to output a single wav file -> that single wave file converted to a single mp3 file using winamps 3rd party official lame mp3 writer plugin. Despite the conversions - with this link you can listen to all the tracks we auditioned to get an idea of the music. It still work okay to get a feel for the tracks. There is a large variety of bass heavy music representing most every genre -- hopefully with the list we got a bit of everything to appeal to everyone for subwoofer demo purposes.

I don't.

Just click the play button in the top left corner. Or click the streaming link below it. It's working for me right now. If you still can't get it to work I can e-mail you the tracks if you send me a e-mail address through PM.

Got it to work. WOW, that's pretty insane, esp the 100hz to 20hz sweep. First time I seen my 120" screen shake like that. Some of the other tracks make for some pretty good mid to low bass bass slam as well.

Couple of metal songs: Korn - Blind a lot of Korns songs have pretty deep bass. Also Metallica - Anesthesia (off of Kill em All). Song doesn't go very deep but amazing to hear what Cliff Burton can do with a bass. Sadly missed.

This thread has been a little quiet.

I don't have a song to offer, but rather a place to get obscure house/dubstep/trance/techno in .wav. Turns out that Discogs has lots of obscure digital content. It's a little pricey for single tracks--$2.75 for individual wav files (there is album pricing)--but lots of stuff that Amazon only carries as mp3s. I'm guessing it has turned into a major market for DJs to buy lossless audio. I found a lot of tracks that I only had mp3s for. Add stuff to your cart; it inserts mp3s by default, but you can change that in the cart itself to a wav version.

And if you have visited Discog, great resource for finding out what albums/cds a song was released on, sometimes even including promo cds. I've also used them to track down used cds of obscure stuff that's not available digitally or anywhere else.

Yup, Discogs is great. You can also try boomkat.com for techno/house/dubstep/grime/etc type music from independent artists. Most of it is available in download form. I got the album Triangulation (Interpretations) by Scuba there, and I think it's pretty good.

That's nice. They have flacs. Saves a step over having to convert wavs

Another site with lots of mostly independent music and all available in FLAC is Bandcamp. I found some Bassnectar stuff there.

I see that music label 4AD is offering FLAC downloads of much of their artists' material.

And if you find an artist whose web site is "powered by Topspin Media" then chances are that it will offer FLAC. Unfortunately Topspin doesn't make it easy to search their artists for genre, and in exploring their site in general is just annoying.

Yello -The Eye(CD) - first track "Planet Dada" and last track "Planet Dada(Flamboyant)". This is a great sounding and well recorded CD. I'd recommend both or one of these tracks for a music selection in the subwoofer GTGs too. The "Flamboyant" remix version has much harder hitting higher amplitude bass to it. There are other good selections on this disc too.

Go here and enter your email (they will not spam you) to get a sampler album. Then try out track 11, Danny Barnes - Fun on your subwoofer.

Sick ass bass... If you have a system with balls, these two tracks will impress whether you're a Floyd fan or not:

Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon SACD

Volume Output 80db

Track 8 - Any Colour You Like
Track 9 - Brain Damage

For you U2 fans, I suggest the song Numb
