I'll follow the advice on how to request help lol and thanks.

Ok so for my set up so far I have two Polk Monitor 70's as fronts and a Polk CS2 as a center with a Pioneer Elite VSX 30 as a receiver. And I'm about to get 2 Polk Monitor 30s as surrounds, haven't made the purchase yet but my other polks are solid and can't argue with pair of surrounds for $90.

1. Looking to spend ~$300, but could go as high as 500ish if I'm sold on it being worth it lol
2. No real size limits, but prob won't get a huge one in my range
3. I haven't gotten the exact measurements but its for my bedroom/living room (apartment) and I'd guess its about 20x20 and like 10 feet high(?)
4. The main use is video games ~60% of time but the most important quality, tv/movies ~40% Not just for music, just whatever is in the shows or games
5. I don't plan to balst it, but keep it a decent level. I'm in an apartment with roommates.
6. Appearance isn't an issue
7. I'm looking a bit down the road for this and doing the research now, so prob looking to buy in a month or more Presuming i maintain the self control like I should).

Thanks for your time.

Please don't double post man......

For $300 I would say the Bic PL-200 or Lava LSP12

For $500 that opens up some more options:
-eD a3-200
-2x Lava LSP10's
-HSU STF-2
-Epik Legend
-...and I know I am missing some

If this is a sub for down the road, I would buy get either the HSU STF-2 or the eD A2-300 (eD costs more but offers more output and more extension). If you can swing the shipping charges with the Epik Legend then I would have that on your list as well (but it is closer to $600 with shipping than $500).

If you are handy you could go DIY and have a really nice sub in your price range. $400 will get you a nice DIY sub.

I also recommend looking at the Premier Accoustech PA-150. Can get one on Ebay shipped for $310-350.

At around $200, individuals in this forum like the BIC F12 and Premier Acoustic PA-120. At under $300, individuals like the BIC PL-200 and Lava LSP12. You need to check the respective threads in this forum on how to get the best price.

http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/s...sp12-subwoofer - Lava LSP-12 - drops off substantially below 35 Hz

At around $400, individuals like the Hsu STF-2 and eD A2-300 that do not show some of the deficiencies of the lesser priced subs (one note wonders or little output below 30 Hz).

http://www.hometheaterforum.com/foru...er-test-review - review by Ed Mullen

http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/s...ofers/ultra-12 - Emotiva Ultra 12 substantial output flat to 30 Hz and falls off below that (check figure at end of review). According to owners, it is very good with music.

I think the A2-300 would fit the bill. It's pretty much the cream of the crop from $400 and down. Your next step up is likely $150 more minimum. Actually, I wonder if the Epik Legend is still on sale for $499....that would be a solid choice.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll check those out Ive got some time. And sorry about the double post, I'm just a little impatient lol. I'm still new to the audio arena so prob staying away from DIY, but of the many listed which ones are more focused towards gaming and movies or are all the ones listed focused that way? Thanks
