Update ;

I'll be moving to "Utrecht" in the next month and i gave away my yamaha yst-sw800 1kW sub to my inlaw. can still listen to this as he lives around the corner :-)
The yst-1500 didn't survive, amp plate fried and it was too expensive to repair. Thinking of building a custom sub with the Peerles woofer, but i'm too busy with new house and work for a while.
so the new line will be:

Utrecht (Terwijde) - SVS PB13 Ultra DSP - DaJoJo

Klipsch fronts 2xRF-82-II 150W 33Hz-24KHz , center RC-64-II 200W 59Hz-24KHz , sides 2xRS-62-II 150W 50Hz-24KHz , rears 2xRB-81-II 150W 44Hz-24KHz , heights 2x Salora T25i
Yamaha RX-A3040, SVS PB13-Ultra 1000W 14-200hz
4 mm el cheapo wire / Samsung UE-ES8000S TV+evo 2014 / Optoma DH-1015 Sony PS3

I was fortunate to demo @beastaudio system this evening and it was loud and clean. He did not crank his system as loud as some of the other AVSers that I have been to but it was a very nice and well balance sound. I truly enjoyed it very much. His room is beautiful with sound treatment everywhere. It was my very first time listening to Atmos 7.1.4. Thanks for the demo @beastaudio .

Good hanging with you to Mr Tony! I like how "He didn't crank his system as loud...." sounds like a relatively pedestrian evening at casual listening levels, when in fact we were usually between -5 and +3 reference depending on what we were listening to, haha!

I'm either lucky or blind, but where I mounted the screen to the ceiling (hanging by two lines) I get very little vibration. You can see it wobble a little on a flat color image or if I have the lights on behind the screen but during actual movie watching, you can't see a thing.

Please add a JLAUDIO F113 v.1 to mine as I kept one for 2 ch. Also, not sure if it fits, but can demo D-Box too. I noticed Crowson listed for some and D-Box is a big step up. Thanks.

I searched this thread and Australia's stock seems a little short!
I can facilitate a demonstration for those keen to hear and are in the market for bottom end in similar budget and values.

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia - 4x Velodyne DD (Digital Drive Series; 3x DD18, 1x DD15) @ 1250w RMS each - Neilsy

As whilst the DD series is now end of sale, in Aus the 18s were $7k a piece and their replacement, DD18+ are $9.5k AUD a piece.
And while the DD+ series GUI is different, I can demonstrate the massive level of included control and customisation that Velodyne include in their premium range of subwoofers.
You will also be able to experience quality the audable quality Velodyne offer which is 1% or less THD @ RMS, as opposed to many brands that are >10-14%

View my signature for equipment list.

3300 cubic ft. Not all that big but floor is carpeted over concrete and I have some room peculiarities that make my bass very uneven (large floor to ceiling windows on one side, big spiral stair case on the other) so wanted 4 for most even response. Talked with Tom and he recommended V1800s over V1500s given my space and listening habits (near reference when wife and kids aren't home) Also didn't want to worry about tripping breakers, or do any electrical work with new dedicated circuits. All those subs should run very efficiently with that much headroom.

I have a single HSU VTF-15H if anyone wants to hear it. I can throw two together if you wanted to, as a buddy living about 1/3rd of a mile has one as well.

Dallas, Texas

I am contemplating selling it and building two sub-woofers though...

So how does the hsu 15h do for you? Are you satisfied with the bass? I am contemplating purchasing one to replace two Infinity csw10's. One of the infinity's amps started to smoke and is likely dead. My room is 14' x 22' Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

It's probably the best bang for the buck subwoofer under $1k in my opinion (aside from DIY). I originally got it because I already knew how great they sounded, and I wanted the flexibility of ported or sealed. At the time I didn't have a way to DIY or I might have gone that route from the get go. Now I want a second subwoofer and I think I would rather DIY a pair marty cube or similar with 18"s instead of buying another HSU for 1040 shipped.

Long story short it is a great subwoofer and I don't think you can buy a better subwoofer for the money. Ideally you want dual subs (or more) to help balance out the room. I do think you can beat it with DIY if you have any capacity in that realm at all.

If you are in DFW and want to stop by and hear it let me know.
