That was a wise choice. I suspect you're going to be very pleased with that decision.

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite

Well just got the LV12R today and must say I am impressed. I have it corner loaded by the stairs (as per Jim's suggestion) and it delivers far superior output compared to my two prior subwoofers. I had no idea what I was missing. I only had a little bit of time to test it out, but I must say it's so nice to have rich, deep bass without any port chuffing or distortion. It blends so nicely with my speakers too. Well worth the asking price. Thanks again to everyone. I really enjoyed reading Jim Wilson's review on it as well - very nicely written and helpful in making my decision.

I'm glad my review proved helpful. Enjoy your new toy!

This list is great!
If I have an amp for 2 speakers (regular speaker wire), can I connect a sub to it?

Thanks.

This is a diagram i found from zreview, seems that there are subs that are more passive.

I would just go with a subwoofer cable instead if I was using a receiver, a lot less work.

Audio Setup: 2.1 (Connected to PC)
Receiver: Onkyo TX - NR509
Speakers: Pioneer BS-22 (L/R)
Subwoofer: JBL ES250P
PC: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition;EVGA GTX 970 FTW;Gigabyte 990 FXA-UD3
