Sounds and feels pretty good, it's definitely different having fuller bass enveloping me from all sides now, so the midbass kick in the back is a little less pronounced than having just the MBMs behind me. I need to tweak the timing of the S3000i some more and work on the miniDSP PEQ a bit. Not bad for an afternoon I guess...done for today.

I agree, you got a lot done today. When I saw your first graph I was thinking you were in for a nightmare. But you got things turned around and headed in the right direction pretty fast. Nice work.

Good job, I would leave it alone and listen for a while, maybe crank the trims up a bit, again nice work, night and day difference from the original graph.......

Wow, is that the result you got from mixing seal sub with port sub. Nice work man.

Thanks, watching Logan now with the misses. And to definitely answer a question I asked in the bass movie thread, there's a car crash, among other scenes, with heavy 20Hz bass! 😃

As @basshead81 noticed, the S3000i did cancel below 20Hz, but I was able to fix some of it. My room is far from perfect, but with another round of tweaks it will be right as rain. Loving it nearfield so far!

Sealed👍, but I will be experimenting with integrating ported subs nearfield for tactile. VNF sealed subs are not really an option right now.

Wow! Just finished pacific rim on blue ray on the PSA sub and it was very impressive! The most dynamic bass movie I've ever seen!

I'm honestly talking myself out of it as we speak. I may wait as I still DO want a second v3601 but was swoon by the level of bass I could potentially have DIY. I am thinking that DIY may have to be put on hold as it seems the person helping/teaching me is being hard to commit to a building schedule.... I envision 3 months with no subs lol

You thinking of ported or sealed? A stack of say twelve 15 inch woofs?

We have some enclosures here (15" sealed, old triax) that you can have for free if you wanted to pick them up. I just didn't know what the hold up was for moving forward with the DIY stuff.

12 of these

Who knows...

Thought I take a shot...no worries....good luck with whatever you go with..

After watching that video and thinking about it more, I will just stick with my subs. They sound really good and I just want to add a second one soon. being new to the game, I think I'm going to get myself over my head if I go the DIY route.
