Do you have a PSA? I got the standard finish. It's like a truck bed liner. I love it.

I asked Tom about putting equipment on the cabinets and he gave the OK. In the end I just wasn't comfortable with it though. frown.gif

I believe I was one of those that suggested the XV30f, I have dual XS30's in a smaller room than yours.

Please discount my advice, I would take Tom's recommendation over mine any day. I have not experienced the XV30f personally. It looks like an amazing sub, but if Tom states the XS30's will handle it just fine, I believe him.

I love my XS30's, and I would buy them again if I had not already smile.gif I just wish I had the finish options that are now available for new buyers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not questioning Tom's suggestion, I just wanted additional feedback from owners.

There have been a few posts where XS30 owners switched to the XV30 for "a more satisfactory HT experience". This has me wondering if the XV might be a better fit for for my personal taste (I want great music and HT performance and like strong output really down low). Of course in those situations I don't know if they were just talking about a single XS30 vs the XV30 or if multiples were involved.

One reason I'm considering a pair of XV15's or XS30's over the XV30f is cosmetics. These subs will be in my living room and the finishes offered on the XV15 and XS30 would look MUCH nicer.

Btw, for reference I have never owned a sealed sub.

Part of what appeals to me about the XS30 is it's shorter height opens up two additional possible locations on either side of the TV. My TV is wider than the stand it sits on and the XS30 would just fit under each end of the TV. The XV15 is just a bit too tall to fit in those locations.

Now of course it may well be that those locations may not be good options for sub performance, but I'm thinking the more placement options I have, the better.

Decisions, decisions......... Is this what they refer to as "analysis paralysis"?

Saving $665 on a pair of XV15's, which aren't likely to disappoint as you've experienced first hand, is awfully tempting as well. wink.gif

Maybe I should just order all four and have a PSA shootout! biggrin.gif I would have to budget in return shipping costs, but perhaps it might be worth it? Don't know how Tom would feel about that knowing a pair would be definitely be retuned and have to be sold as b stock.

Unfortunately that .5" difference is enough to determine whether it will fit or not. frown.gif

Ok, I have a question you guys could maybe help me with beings yall own these subs. I'm looking at purchasing a XV15 next Friday, the situation I'm faced with is my wife gave me one place and one place only I can put it, which sucks because I'd like to put it wherever it sounds best but that's not gonna happen. Anyways I have a entertainment center with a large bottom shelf were I plan on putting it. It will have to be laid on its side (woofer facing my seating position) the shelf is 19x29x60 the port will be facing into the long end of the enclosure it will be placed in. Will this have a negative affect? Are should I be looking for something else instead?
Thanks for any and all help.

As long as there's a few inches of clearance for the port it should be okay.

It will have plenty of clearance, about 40" or so. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be a issue before placing my order.

Thanks

Hi all,

We recently received news that we will not receive our Power-X 15" driver shipment for another 10-12 days. These were originally scheduled to arrive in early July but have been delayed due to circumstances beyond our control. We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience it may cause. As soon as this shipment arrives we will do everything in our power to fulfill all back orders as quickly as possible. I know this isn't the news everyone wants to hear. Trust me, disappointing customers is never a good feeling.

Well, not the kind of news that one wants to receive on a Friday, but I do appreciate that you are taking the time to provide this update and more important to be completely honest about what is going on. Kudos to you!

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to receive my first PSA subwoofer...........wink.gif

Yes the drivers are different. I do know that the Triax has been selling very well so their might be delays but the pre order price is still in play.

Need your advice guys. I was all set on getting two XV30F's for my set up, but had something come up which has changed the budget.

So now I am stuck trying to decide on which of the following to go with :

Two XV15's or One XV30F. I CANT DECIDE.

I am trying to decide what would be best for my situation. My room is over 5000 cf, with openings to other rooms.

Here is where I am torn. What would be better, the extra wattage of going with two XV15's? (1000 watts vs 750 watts)
Or am I better suited by going with the XV30F which has less power, but more volume for the speakers?
Both are priced very similar. Ive always heard getting two subs would be better to smooth the fq response in the room.
I am just wondering if the speakers in the XV30F are of better quality or tuned differently due to the extra volume they are housed in.

Either set up would go in the front of the room. I cant do nearfield due to the lack of space and the way the couch is set up.

So what would you go with and why. . . . . . . . .
