Thanks for the kind words, folks! This is my first home theater and I was frankly a little scared that things wouldn't work when I first turned everything on. lol
I could not be happier with my choice of the XV-30fs. I talked to Tom months ago and described my theater project. He recommended the XV-30fs. They fit nicely behind the false wall where other large subs (XV-30, for example) would not fit. I know I got lucky with the sub placement because I frankly don't have a lot of placement options... Because they are behind a black GOM false wall, I meet the WAF as well.
I am running a 7.1 setup with Atlantic Technology 8200e LRs (with an LR for a center) and 8200e dipole surrounds. The rears are Atlantic Technology 4200e LRs
4400s (I prefer direct firing for the rears... personal choice)
The screen is a Stewart Studiotek 130 G3 w/ micro-perf. I'm running a 54" CIH set-up so the picture is approx. 10.5 ft wide when viewing 2.35:1 content. Here is a pic with the screen installed (the black GOM panels are not installed in this pic):
If you are curious, here is a WIP pic showing the back of the room where the rack is located:
I will take some more pics of the nearly completed room when I get a few things cleaned up in there. Now that the theater is operational, I somehow haven't been able to find the time for finishing the job. hehe.
