I was watching at -20 with the subs 3db hot.

Next you will have to test this reference quality BD wink.gif

Just watched the crash scene from flight of the Phoenix, -20 with subs not running hot. I could not watch the whole scene at that level. Had to turn it back to -27. I honestly feared for my house (upstairs). Need to go check and make sure my dogs didn't pee everywhere! This was with all subs running. Didn't play the scene with just the XV-15's as audyssey was run with them all running and eq'd together. It appears as though I can't take all these can dish out. In the past I have run this scene at -12 with the subs 3db hot (2 pb12+/2 and pb12+).

Doesn't look like I will get to watch the hunger games tonight......

So I watched another hour of the Hunger Games last night. I have about 45 min left. There are some scenes with tremendous bass! The fireball scene and can't time they fire the cannon. I came to the conclusion that I really didn't need 3 of these and it these together with my SVS subs is overkill............which is absolutely awesome biggrin.gif

I am so happy with my purchase, brings a total smile on may face with ever deep bass hit!

My dual XV-15's came today!! Unfortunately I have not received my RCA Y adapters yet for my sub cables. Looks like I am going to have to wait a little longer to hear my new babies.

Torture!

I would have gone to radio shack or BB and bought some to hold me over until they arrive and then return them when they do!

So the wife finally noticed the 3 XV-15's behind the couch. I was looking for something in the gameroom and had all of the lights on full blast. Not sure what she was doing, but she came out into the garage and asked me how many speakers am I going to buy. I said I think that is about it and she asked me a question about something else. She is the best, never asked about cost or complained about the fact they are just about bigger than the couch!

Wow those XV15s make the PB12plus so cute and small. I look forward to some one on one impressions vs. the SVS subs.

I know, I know!! My Outlaws have a single sub cable and these need the Y adapter and I forgot about that and placed an order online a little to late. I should have done it sooner. Here are a few shots!

Per Tom V (asked this yesterday via email) you can just use the Left/LFE input, connecting to the 2 inputs, just gives you a little more "gain"....

You only need to use one of the inputs. I hooked mine up to the

Their website is lacking in pics. Looking at your all's pics, the finish and edge lines look crisp and clean. Moar pics.

A bunch of units should have delivered last week and I'm really curious as to why we aren't seeing too many user impressions so far. I hope they are too busy enjoying their new subs cool.gif

I'm on the market for a pair of subs for a mixed 50/50 setup and I'm eagerly awaiting some hard numbers to see how these new subs perform (beyond what is posted on the web site).

Thus far I can tell you this much about the XS15...

  1. The amp generates virtually no heat. If you really push it there's some warmth, but under normal everyday usage it's almost imperceptible.
  2. There's more dynamic range then I anticipated. The ability to play nuanced bass is better then I thought it would be.
  3. It can play loud. Actually, check that; it can play loud. If you like SPL's you'll love this sub.

For a version 1.0 product from a version 1.0 company PSA has done a wonderful job. I'm pretty impressed at this point, especially when you consider the darn thing only costs $700.

If you take yourself too seriously, expect me to do the exact opposite

My dual XV30 subwoofers just arrived Monday. The delivery was very good; the boxes arrived believe or not, not single scratch. Amazing heh? eek.gif
I've tweaked and fiddled a bit since my initial tuning session. The review on dual XV30 comming soon.
To give you all an idea of the scale, here's a pictures of the pallet in front of my garage.
