Looks like you either erased something or put a white sheet of paper over something above the brace where we would see the cutout for the woofer one of the other woofers?

Honestly the picture is a bit hard to interpret if you never saw the insides of the original Triax. I guess the picture is rotated 90 degrees from the correct orientation, i.e. up is on the left (or right)?

I'd assume the damping material was not yet inserted. The bright rectangle looks like a sheet of paper put there to reflect light inside?

Is the big gray circle behind the bracing the motor of one of the driver? From the picture the texture looks a bit like foam though.

Yeah, just a quick snap from my phone...kinda dark. You can see the carpet through the driver cutout on the bottom that may help give some perspective?

Less height more girth? 18" with passive radiators to bridge the XS30?

Oh man if those are 18" then I may have to mortgage my home to scrape up the cash to get a pair of them. That would be very sweet.

Honestly I thought the peice of paper was to keep light out of the amp opening or other driver opening...

I'm confused I thought Tom said they didn't change anything having to do with the drivers or anything.... I'll just have to wait for Tom to tell us what is up.

I really think that the brace(s) are the same finish as the sub's exterior, they go to that extent.

I like PSA gonna upgrade their driver to something more hardcore and power board to more power than just a 18inch show up.
I love to have some driver look cool like this:

PSA's already using the best 4000watt sub plate amp on the planet, the only way that's gonna get better is if you're willing to wire 230volt into your theater room and then they could build you something using the 230volt 6000watt plate amp.

I mean to upgrade power board in XV15SE, XS15SE,XS30SE,XV30FSE . Not that Triax monster.

It would be interesting to see if there would be any gain from say updating the XS30SE with the 1000W-1200W Speaker power amp. Granted not much in the way more max power. But it might provide better long term output.

As for the rest I would think only the dual driver subs would benefit.

Tom talked to me that it take double the power from 800w to 1600w to have 3db gain. So it not much worth. But with the strongger power board and the hardcore driver, the subwoofer will look alot cooler. right ?

That's correct, there really isn't much point in throwing more watts at the current drivers in the "se" models. Like you mentioned on only gain 3dB when you double the wattage and of course then you'd really start to push the driver. I could see warranty issues starting to be a problem with the drivers if you were doubling the wattage of the current amps. Not worth it IMO.

Not to mention needlessly increasing the price on a great sub that's currently priced at a point that allows a lot of people buy it.

It begs the question: What would be the point of putting on a more powerful amp that would undoubtedly cost more and which may needlessly push a driver too hard all for a mere 3dB gain at best?
