Got 'em unboxed and placed all by my lonesome....wasn't too hard once I got 'em on the carpet sliders.

Was about 15 degrees out when they were delivered...how long do I have to wait for them to warm up before I can turn 'em on??
SWEEEET! Congrats Alan, that thing is massive.

So far, not too impressed with the subs in the back of the room...moved them up front and re-running Audyssey.

I'm pretty new to the forum.

After doing a few weeks of reading I opted for the XS15SE'S to pair with my Ascend Sierra 2's. Got my shipping notice today! Can't wait to get it.

I'm going to running a 2.1 system. Would I benefit much with a umik and rew for a 2.1 set up?

OK, I think I got the MinDSP figured out finally. Gotta have the sub trim in the AVR as low as I can get it (-11.5) and the gain on the sub pretty high (4 on the T-18s).

Anyways, here's what I got comparing Aud on/off....I think I made it too easy for Audyssey because it looks like it hardly did anything (which is good).

My impressions so far - I don't think I gained much in audio "quality"...maybe the dual T-18s are 5% better than the quad XS15s. Even the dual XS15s did a good job for the last 2 weeks I lived with just them. At low levels, they sound great.

When I crank it up is when the T-18s shine!

Watching the Pod Emerges scene from WOTW my pant legs were actually flapping! OK, maybe not flapping, but they were certainly vibrating. Never got that with the XS15s.

Since the T-18s seem to have the headroom to spare, tomorrow I'm gonna try to do a nice house curve with the DSP.

Very happy so far!

Quad XS15s vs. dual T-18s. Exact same placement.
