Just cuddle with your wife... and put a blanket around the subs. You'll be fine

Yeah, let us see some graphs of:

That will depend on how much spare time he has this summer and how the weather cooperates with him(nice weekends). Keep in mind Josh does the measurement gig in his "spare time" and usually only on weekends. I remember emailing him more than once last summer trying to fit the XV15se and XS30se into his schedule but he was too backed up.

We'll do our best to keep him *very* busy..

Thanks Tom, I didn't realize that's how he did his reviews. Of course I'm anxious to read any new review on the XS30se, especially from Josh, but I am in no big hurry since I don't yet have the $$$ saved up.

I'm sure he will get to it when he can and I look forward to reading it, even if it's AFTER I purchase one!

There is data for the XPS15se on databass. I think if you add 4-5 dB, it would be close to the XS30se. Confirm this with Tom, but I think they share the same driver and pretty much equal power per driver. So it would be like 2 - XS15se.

Also there is some info on databass about how its a little tricky measuring a dual opposed sub outside. I think he basically do a measure on one side and adds 1.5 dB.

I would hope the T-18 gets in line first and see what the Big Boy will do. I'm not sure how he will measure that. lol

SOUND: Marantz AV-7702 Pre/Pro, McIntosh MC1706 Amp,
Klipsch RF7-II's, Klipsch RC64-II (Soon), Klipsch RS62-II (Soon), (2) XS15se subs.

WOW! audyssey worked miracles!!

looks great...but were these with other speakers involved or just the subs?

cause it looks like the sub distance tweak needs to be done to help out

Brian, its Mike Butny, Just with 2 subs with XT32 enabled. I believe the right sub is causing the dip around 80hz. Please see the graphs.

have you tried adjusting the phase, or done a distance tweak?

Are both subs gain matched (not level matched)?

I agree with Brian that Audyssey worked wonders and the Audyssey graph looks pretty good....I'd like to see it a bit smoother from 45-100hz though.

If phase doesn't sort it out, are there any more placement options?

If these measurements are subs only (as he says) than the distance tweak won't make any difference....unless:

Does the AVR have SubEQ HT? If so, try adjusting the distance of one sub instead of messing with phase. DO THIS WITH AUDYSSEY OFF, when you get the flattest graph by tweaking one subs distance then re-run Audyssey (if the default distance didn't already provide the best response, which it often does with XT32).

Guys, here is a graph with the mic in the middle of the couch which help the 80hz dip by 5db. When I ran XT32, the mic was on the right side of the couch as that is were I always sit. I'm going to re-run XT32 in the middle of the couch and hoping it will flatten it it further.

WOW! Nice extension there!

You want the first Audyssey mic position exactly where your head would be (MLP). Unless you like to switch seats, just optimize for your seat and let the rest fall where they may.

You may be wasting your time too....that 80hz dip might be completely taken care of with the CC in the mix.

Take a measurement of CC+subs and post it up.
