That was me with my V1500. Don't know if the control is the same on it as it is on the T-18.

Did you also hear a drastic decrease in distortion or only see it? If the latter then it probably means nothing.

It was not me @Alan P as I have Rythmik subs. I notice in your graph legend, one says: 12.6, the other says 'seat center'. Not sure if we are comparing the exact same mic position but regardless, there shouldn't be a huge difference in distortion as your graphs shown. I do like the red graph distortion # better though. You said red is calibrated with small then switch to large, perhaps you should measure one with small setting then switch to large and remeasure again to see what it does?

Disregard my arbitrary labels (has to do with the sub distance tweak). They are the exact same mic position.

Apartment theater people UNITE!

I had a 110" screen when I was using the pj in the family room, but then I converted this smaller room to an HT due to light control. I work nights, so I'm usually watching movies either really early in the morning or in the early afternoon. So right now I have a 92". I'm with ya on the big screen...the bigger the better, as far as I'm concerned! If my seating was just a bit further back, I'd go bigger for sure.

Well, that should be changed pretty quick. :-)
Got them yesterday and installed them right away. Nothing could've prepared me for the improvement! Completely seamlessly integrated with the speakers and just a sense or air around everything. These things can pound you when asked for, but when not, they're not overwhelming. Just absolutely awesome!!!!

Sorry, I'm confused. I made a comment saying I like the old grill look better. Then much later Tom makes a comment about who's complaining now. What? I don't understand the meaning of his post where he quoted me.

Correct, we measured it outside and even used it for our compression graphs on Sunday. Then used it in the office system for a while too. Everything checks out.

Hi Guys,

Got my PSA XV15se last week and have to say it's a great upgrade to my system.

Just a question about placement because I am unable to throw this sub-woofer on my bed to do a crawl and yet to order a mic for REW.

Strictly considering the room layout, please let me know which of the three positions I can place it would be best? I'm not quite sure if my large windows would be considered an "opening" but it almost spans the entire wall. Thanks!

It's almost impossible to tell you where your sub will work best in your room by looking at a pic...it's completely impossible without knowing where the MLP is and your room dimensions.

Slightly more helpful, but still we can't tell you where the sub will work best. What we can tell you is that corner placement will get you the most output, but may sound "boomy"....mid-wall placement is often a good choice, as is 1/4-wall.

Why is it you can't do the sub crawl? Are you physically unable to lift the sub onto your bed?

Without the sub crawl, you can do a "reverse" sub crawl...just try all 3 positions and then listen from the MLP, go with whichever placement sounds best.

Here is the V1500 compression from Sunday, this is your sub MNC..

The Room Size control will let you dial in the rolloff <30hz and optimize it to your room environment.

I'm guessing this is with the size set to Large? Looking at those numbers compared to the XS30se, it's hard to believe I didn't choose the V1500!

Hmmm… I think I might like the rounded grills better. But I do like the full grill as well so I guess I'm not picky when it comes to grills. But I am picky about what comes out of the drivers lurking behind the grills.

Surprisingly, I prefer the round(er) grills (wife does too).

However, it's not to say I would refuse a PSA product with a square grill

In fact, they look much better naked! All those woofersies moving... Smeagol would be proud!
