Cool. I don't have the time to follow along as much anymore, but was curious why not dual-opposed? Then it occurred to me that I really couldn't recall a vented DO commercial sub. Danley has some designs that are bananas, but I thought they were mostly horns.

Thanks.

We might circle back to that at some point in the future. That one won't be shipping in 2015 though...if at all. The XS30se and S3000i just represent such a sweet spot for the size/performance ratio we're really not in any rush to to force feed another model into the lineup right now. For the 8(?) weeks we have offered the S3000i we have actually had them in stock for 5-10 days. We need to get all of our vendors on board with our current growth rate before thinking of adding even more to their respective "to do" list..

Meant to post these pics of the goofy shape of the room. With the sub now on order just need to figure out the surrounds.

V3600! C'mon. I was hoping you were working on a ported/vented design. It was hard enough lugging 2 XV30fse's down the stairs by myself now this? Damn I badly want a prototype

A "goofy" shaped room is often better than a symmetrical room for sound, although typical placement can be a challenge.

Music area: Magnepan 3.6, McIntosh MC2205 & C48, SVS SB13-Ultra, Oppo BDP 95 and assorted equipment.
Movie area: EMP Tek R5Bi, PSA XS30, Denon X2000, Oppo BDP 83.

No way I would have room for the V3600 but that should be a monster in more ways than one !!

That being said, its 2 S3000i's to replace my non se XS30
I got the last 2 available, just waiting for some details on Tom and Jim's side for them to ship. I am shooting to have them here by next weekend !!

So, guys, I have a question. a few posts earlier in this quite busy day on this thread I asked about the experiences with XS15se,XS30 etc, I definitely see that you liked a lot the XS30(se) in your theaters.

so, for comparison, can you tell me what are the sizes of the spaces where you use pair of XS30 or just one.
My HT is 13x15x7.5 about 1500 cubic ft. I think dual XS15se or S1500 will pressurize that space plenty, but what are your thoughts?

Change is the only constant.

My room is 34x22x8. I run ported though hence the XV30 vs XS30. If I had a smaller room I would pick up sealed though.

Your room size is fine for a single XS30 as far as pressurizing is concerned but going dual is a better idea (if you can do it) because of the smoothing factor you will get for the bass.

So if it's a choice between going with dual XS15s (or S1500s) or going with a single XS30, I would go with the duals.

But if you really wanted to go all the way you could always go with dual XS30s but I don't think that would be worth the extra cash (IMO).

Yeah, I have over 5000 cu ft so I am running dual XV15se's. But I have to confess I am wondering what dual XS30se's would be like in the room.

Hop I would go dual 3000i...pretty much the same output around the XV15 tune but 2 times the output in the meat of the power band!!

Note that the biggest differences between the S3000i and the XS30se where in the lowest ranges where a ported subwoofer would make a difference. Honestly, if you're going to go sealed in that size, you gotta go "serious sealed" with something like the S3000i or the Seaton Submersive.

Note that after seeing the graph of the XS30se vs. the S3000i that I'm confident that for the BASH amp models, I would have ended up going ported in my room.

Amps

Hey Guys just a heads up I might be selling a couple of amps and wanted to throw them out here before I list them in the classifieds.

EMO 1st GEN XPA 3 about 35 months left of factory warranty.

ATI 602 also about 35 months left of warranty.

PM if interested, letting them go LOW.............$$$$$
Cheers Jeff

I have too many components as it is now and I'm building a new rack and don't need all the amps, plus I have all PSA speakers and really don't need the extra power. I have a couple of older amps laying around as well so I plan on doing a little house cleaning so to speak. Thanks B for asking
Cheers Jeff
