Toe: I'm right there with you. I look forward to spending time in the theater room especially when the rest of the family joins me. I must say since I received the S3600I all I have been doing is listening to 2-channel music. I think this say's something about the S3600I that I have been listening to music rather than watching movies. I cannot get enough of this sub.

I'm there as well. Just finished watching True Lies with my wife, not a great bass flick but Tom Arnold is funny in it. Anyway, it's how I spend most nights. Either watching a movie or listening to music.

Seriously, my system sounded good before when it was Polk speakers and Xv15se's. But now that it's five 110's and two V3600's it just incredible. I hate leaving the room to go to bed.

Glad I'm not the only one. I have put 900 hours on my pj in a year. I'm down there every single night except if I have to work late (like tonight)

I can't get enough of the whole experience. I love it. Much rather stay in and watch a movie and pay 20$ for a bluray then go out drinking.

I think about all the money I blew when I was younger and out with the buddy's drinking and chasing tail. I rather be home with the family and enjoying the best hobby in the world than being out and getting in trouble. I put it this way, I rather spend $100-$300 a month toward a purchase then spend that money at some bar and having nothing to show for it.

Ha Ha Ha…I just placed my orders. Just kidding.

I was just thinking, this thread has been on fire for the last 10 days and a bunch of us have ordered and received some seriously heavy hitting subwoofers. What comes to mind is:
A. Two V3600's (ilocos boy and myself)
B. Two S3600's (Mike and Dr. Bud)
C. One V1800 (smurraybhm)
D. One Prototype Monstrosity Sub (Brian)
E. One S1500? (I think Roadwar got this recently)
F. And finally...Cain said he is planning to get a S3000 or maybe a S3600.

And that's just in this little thread. Tom and Jim have been busy. And we are broke. Happy, but broke.

Had time to run Audyssey and tinker a little bit today before watching Entourage (the movie) and then listening to on of my favorite imports - Dire Straits first album. I have spent the last few hours smiling so much my face hurts. Everything sounds better. The thing I love about the v1800 is not only the punch (not a lot of that in the movie ex some of the soundtrack) but how it performs with music. Somehow Tom has made my PC12+ sound better too. Wonder what the 3600 would sound like Dirac or subs, next purchase is going to be interesting. Maybe take a que from Brian and get both.

I did some late night tv watching trying to get caught up with a few shows I follow and man I love the S3600I. This sub even shows it " weight " in tv shows. These PSA dual 18's subs with the high powered ICE amp just take the experience to another level.

Don't you know, symmetrical is the best way to put subs. As long as you don't measure anything.

I love when Big Bang theory switches scenes. The flying atom has nice weight to it for a tv show

So I just showed the wife the picture of what's coming. She just smiled and shook her head. Haha. She said so they are just letting you try it out. I said ummmmm yup for a few months.

So in a few months I'll make up a story as to how they are letting me keep it for a reduced price (all of which are true) and how I can't get rid of it now that I'm in love with it hahah

Tom told me the amp they used but I forget. He said it was an older amp.

He also said the output is 1-2db down from dual triax only by amp limitations.

Also said the output of this one sub with outdo the output from my 3 xs30's combined lmao

That would be cool if you could fit ALL the subs behind the screen. I would love to see the expression on peoples face when an action scene hits them right in their mouth. I bet that look they would give you would be priceless.

yeah unfortunately impossible.

Behind the screen is only 19" from wall to screen. So only the 3 xs30's can fit sideways. The center and left channel will go on 2 of them doubling as speaker stands.

The right speaker will be on a traditional stand (due to the supports for the screen being in the way and asymmetrical)

The monster will HAVE to be in the back left corner of the room cause its smallest dimension is 26" But I like your thinking

I was thinking last night how much trouble it would be to build out the wall behind the screen a few inches to fit the mega sub back there. But just too much work

Well I currently only have one neighbor (about 100' away) since it's a new development. But they are constructing a house next door (just poured the foundation) and that one is only about 50' away. But hey. I was here first

Old MAckie M1200. I got 3 or 4 of these back in the 1990s and all are working 100% today----LOVIN the made in USA quality! One if still pushing my first real(not POC) DIY sub in my garage. 30" ID sonotube with 4 12s.

For this sub I just bridged it into a 6ohm load(series both binding posts) so I was getting MAYBE 200w per driver. I tell you though...it was plenty. I miss that subwoofer already. If Brian can just get a real 400w into each driver he'll be very happy. 600-800w per would really be as far as I'd go without being there to dial in the DSP myself.
