Do we know yet how much control you will have over the curve? If it is just +/- 3 like the pro kit it will not be very useful. I am hoping it allows +/- 12db or more.

I'm really loving my X4200 right now. I just mentioned the 2016 units because of the bass management. But personally I'm very happy that I picked up the 4200 at the closeout price.

I haven't seen any information on it, however, I would think they would looking to improve on the pro kit.

What would I do next? Flatten response by getting an anti-mode? Instead get a Denon receiver with Audyssey xt32? Which is better? Or do they do the same thing? I think there was a recent post that wasn't that happy with xt32.

Thanks again for all of the help!!
Hey George I glad I was able to help, my next suggestion would be to try REW and a UMIK-1, the complete guide is in my signature how to get started using it. As others have mentioned a receiver would also be a good investment but I would wait to see some reviews of the new Denons as they EQ capability combined with XT32 SUB EQ would be a very huge upgrade, the AMDC are nice but do you really think you need a stand alone EQ setup right now. Audy XT32 works very well for me in an untreated room. Play around with REW and the UMIK-1 and get a feel for seeing what you're hearing and why, if I can do it I know you can, very minimal investment.

Then get your new receiver..............until then enjoy what you have since you now have both LP's pretty much squared away and before you know it you'll have another V3600.......

Cheers Jeffrey

I will agree with REW and a UMIK, there is a learning curve to get over, but it a very good tool to learn what your system is doing in your room.
For a stand alone EQ, the Anti-mode does a good job on the bass frequencies, but if you want a stand alone that will EQ everything...DIRAC is the way to go. It's not what could be called inexpensive, but damn, it is amazing

As if anyone didn't already know this, PSA is class all the way. I contacted them about getting a replacement power cord (bought a V1500 from a member here and the cord didn't show up). Not only did they send me a cord for no charge, they also threw in a PSA tumbler! I don't know many companies (in any industry) that specialize in customer service anymore, but it's a huge asset in my book.

16 days huh?

Hmmm… you might be in trouble. Your set up is almost exactly like mine was about 14 months ago. Then I added a 2nd V3600… then I added the 110SR's, then I sold the 110 L/R and bought 210T's, and then I traded in my 110C for the 210C… all within a four month period. By the end of 2015 I had the set up I have now.

2015 was an expensive year but it was all worth it! No buyers remorse here… I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

I thought about the 210's vs 110's, but after talking (at length) with Tom I decided on the 110's. I was trying to get away from towers for the extra space (my last setup was huge klipsch towers). No regrets at all, they sound fantastic! They blend together so seamlessly that I never have localization issues, in fact I sometimes will swear that the center channel is producing sound when I know the source is 2-channel until I put my ear to it to verify it is not. I can't wait to see how seamless the surrounds integrate. And the single v3600i will hold me over for now (until I find a killer can't-pass-it-up type deal on a second).

I hear you. That's what I did with the 2nd V3600. Tom let me know they had a B-stock V3600 and I jumped on it.

I had talked with Tom for a long time regarding the 110's vs the 210's and decided to buy the 110's for all the reasons you mentioned. Then PSA introduced the 210T and I found myself going to the website everyday just to look at them (awesome looking speaker). At that point it was hopeless for me to try and resist them any longer so I jumped in on the introductory deal. Come to think of it, the same thing happened when I bought my first V3600. I kept visiting the website just to look at the V3600 (it's a cool looking sub) and I finally gave in and ordered it at the introductory cost.

What can I say… I'm a weak man.

Bill, I think you made a smart move going with all identical speakers, I had MT-110s all around and the seamless integration was was just that "SEAMLESS", the panning effect is just so precise and evenly balanced from left to right and front to rear and rear to front just a holographic circle, I think once you see and hear a film with good surround effects you'll completely understand what I'm talking about. A lot of speakers don't do this well, in other words to me it's not convincing that there's a helicopter flying in from the back of the room to the front or from left side of screen to the right, there seems to be a "lag" behind effect which doesn't keep up with what what's happening on screen.

If you're concerned about output as you thought about going with 210s you'd be hard pressed to make the 110s break up at reference levels and beyond. The 210s which I also owned just got there with a little less pushing and dug a bit deeper but unless you have a small auditorium for your home theater you won't be lacking my friend. The 110s although smaller are still very imposing looking speakers and sound much fuller and bigger than they look especially when a V3600 is at the foundation of your setup, (I see a second 3600 in your future) when you sell the 1500. You already know how well they image and produce a very articulate center stage without the aid of a center channel. The 110srs are the same speaker just in a different box and have the same sound signature of the MT110s so expect the same results.

Try some really well mixed surround effect movies, Terminator Salvation is right up there along with Book of Eli (gattling gun) Dark Knight Rises (plane hijack) Underworld Awakening (werebeast) John Carter's the flying machine escape scene will really make the 110SRs sing and you'll find out what you've been missing all this time without them.

Cheers Jeffrey

No kidding! Just when I was thinking last night during a Pink Floyd session, "Man, I sure love my MTM-210 a lot!" Now I'm very curious...

AVS Forums is definitely a love/hate relationship sometimes. I spent exactly $0 on audio when I didn't visit here this summer and took a break. Now, I can't seem to keep my wallet in my pocket. In the last month, I'm up to 4 Atmos speakers, looking at power amp options, and then this morning, I am contemplating 210 Towers.

I can tell you this....I get enough midbass slam combined from my 210T's and nearfield ported 15v's that it will make you wince....you can literally feel cymbals crashing in the seats.

For the record I was talking about the difference of the mid bass slam of the 210T's over the 110's. I wouldn't imagine there would be much difference between the 210's and the 210T's.

Agreed! The 210T just has a little better deep bass capability dues to increased cab volume. Really not needed for those with capable sub's. However if you are a 2 channel listener, the 210T's have a advantage.

That's what I was referring to as well, I had the MTM 210s LCR so I would think the mid bass slam would be just a tad better with the Ts. Like I said though having all 110s LCR and surrounds you won't be lacking especially with a V3600 bringing up the rear......... Don't let these guys spend your money.........I'd like to think I helped empty a few pocket books myself........

The 210T's really, really make me smile. I didn't realize how "heavy" the sound is on the Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" album.

Its not something I was expecting from the Beach Boys, Aerosmith yes, Led Zep yes, Beach Boys.... Ahh no!

I alway heard the story about Paul McCarthy and John Lennon running into their managers office fanatic, screaming at him about the awful quality of the Beatles recordings.

Their manager responded "So what do you want me to do?"
To which John slammed down a copy of "Pet Sounds" on the desk and screamed "WE WANT THIS!"

After listening to Pet Sounds through the 210T's, I know what John was talking about!

Good to see you posting. And I'm glad you have yourself a new job, I hope you're enjoying it so far. Personally I'm in the middle of my busy season so I'm tired but I'm trying to earn some extra cash for all the little projects and upgrades that I have planned. I didn't have projects planned but thanks to AVS I do now.

Yeah. Almost every time I read this thread, a little voice in the back of my head goes, "Time to buy another PSA sub?"
