New products are always fun. XV30 is very intriguing.

You'll rarely hear anyone say, "I wish I'd gotten less Sub."

Extended Pre-Order Period
We have just been notified by one of our vendors that their shipment will be delayed by a few weeks. We are hoping to start shipping in the middle of August. Our pre-order period will last until the first unit ships. We apologize for any inconvenience.

If they could drop the port on that dual-15", perhaps mount dual-opposed and double the power to 1500w or more for roughly that ~$1.2K ballpark... they'd have quite a winner.

Hopefully they move a good chunk of these mass-appeal subs and bring some 10Hz monsters to the table in the near future.

Also hoping they have true high-excursion up their sleeve. 25mm of 1-way xmech (20mm xmax is probably generous) isn't much these days, but the bang/buck on these particulars is hard to argue with.

Hi Aknot5,

There's more to come to be sure. More excursion and more power are certainly a possibility. We'll be more inclined to discuss these products once we are closer to a 30-45 day pre-order window. Thanks for the suggestions though...it is always interesting to get input from other enthusiasts.

Have anyone used PSA’s website to make a purchase today at all or last couple of days?
I couldn’t get through to complete my purchase. I got an error message in step 2.confused.gif
I did email Tom V. Hopefully, he gets it fixed soon.
I wish they have the phone number so I can call them.

Hi all,

Production update:

We got through a pretty good percentage of the pre-orders today...assembled, tested, and boxed up. Unfortunately we missed the Fed Ex cutoff so our first shipments will be tomorrow. (8-17). We're staying late(still here..smile.gif and coming in early tomorrow so we are going to make a BIG dent in the pre-order list.

We're extending the pre-order pricing to end of day Monday (8-20)

Eventually we'll have time to go into a little detail regarding the reasons for the shipping delays. Maybe we'll update our FB page with some of the details once we have a chance. It might seem more humorous once we have a bit of distance.

Thanks to all for the patience,

Tom Vodhanel

I'd be interested in hearing that story -- as I'm sure many others would -- so why not post it in the forums as well? Not all of us think FB has value, so only posting it there will mean a bunch of people would miss out.

Now get back to work! biggrin.gif

Cause FB is any easy & no-expense advertisement tool to companies selling products. If you like a certain product, there's a good chance someone on your friends list share's a common interest, or is interested in something you may own or show interest in. Which in turn opens the door to possibly a potential customer, or at least someone elses friends list, that may peak someone and his/her list of interest. Social Networking Advertisement is the new outlet, and makes the most sense to use this tool as an outlet for advertisement..... If it could net a company a few more sales a year, why not accept the value of Social Networking??

I'm not sure if this is always the case with FB, but with PSA's FB page you don't need to be signed in to see their "Wall" posts.

If I want to know what one of my friends likes/dislikes I'll simply ask them, I don't need a webpage to find out. FB -- like MySpace before it -- will probably fade away, but who knows. Either way, one thing that's certain is not everyone uses it, so if a manufacturer communicates their exclusively they lose out. I wasn't advocating Tom not post his story to FB, only saying he should post it here as well. In addition to, not in lieu of.

He didn't ask why they were posting to Facebook, he was asking 'Why not also post the answers to this forum as well'

Curious, but why would that matter in a finished subwoofer product with built in amp?

I picked up 3 of the XV-15's today at their shop!

Here is an XV15 next to an SVS PB12+/2

0D3C9CC9-9EC2-4D1D-81CD-5ACFABA6C30D-46682-000034F828B48CE7.jpg

Next to an SVS PB12+

Behind one of my couches, not sure if this is the final place or not.

F924CCEF-4F2D-425D-98B2-2ABA4D0CEFB9-46682-000034F7F69C44A4.jpg

I think my wife will kill me when she looks behind the couch, we have no reason to get into that closet smile.gif

I could stack them to the right of the close to take up less floor space, but a 6ft high stack of these might look a bit scary!

I calibrated with audyssey xt32 (denon 4311) and did minor listening with all subs engaged. Of course it sounded amazing. I turned off the 2 svs subs and it still sounded amazing. These subs are very powerful. I plan on watching the hunger games tonight to give them a proper workout.

These subs are in a room that is around 30x30 but not totally open. In addition to these 3, I have 2 svs PB12+/2's.

Didn't get to watch the hunger games. My daughter stayed up late and we started to watch the Lorax. There is some serious bass in that movie. I watched it with all 5 subs connected and it sounded amazing. I was running al subs about 3db hot according to audyssey xt32 and at -20db. I was upstairs getting a drink and heard a horrible noise which sounded like all my subs bottoming out. Ran downstairs and played the scene over and it sounded great. Played it again and ran upstairs and found it was dishes in the dishwasher banging around. I never had that kind of house shaking before.

The bass sounds so even and thick. The room is pressurized like never before. These were so worth the money!! I was not expecting so much of a difference as I had some potent subs in the room already.

Hopefully will watch the hunger games tomorrow, although as I write this I am getting a second wind.

So I did watch about 45 minutes of the hunger games last night. Did not get to any real action. There was a scene where a ship flies overhead that has some great bass. I hope to watch the rest tonight. There is so much added room pressurization that I think the best I can describe it is like a pillow of bass around my head. I was watching at -20 with the subs 3db hot.
