So this is for speakers, sub or both? Nevermind, seems it's for stereo setups.

Seems to imply for "stereo speakers" or "dual subs" from the press release (I was confused as well).

Automatic correction only up to 500Hz? Then why call it full range. It only allows manual correction over 500Hz and in that case the automatic correction is disabled. I would rather get the Onkyo NR818 as it has XT32 and MSRP is same. I would presume the XT32 would do full range correction of the main L&R.
Sure the dual core 2.0 has a screen but the limitation up to 500Hz is the deal breaker for me.

It is not, where did you read that? You can do your own things on top of the automatic Anti-Mode calibration.

Look at the manual for the Dual Core, I put the link in my post #6 and you can see what you are doing on the screen.

I thought I read in the manual that to do manual correction the automatic correction should be disabled?

If it does automatic correction up to 500Hz and allows manual tweaking using PEQ from 500Hz onwards, then it is better than X32. But then I wont have any correction if I am using a sub. Looks like I will have to keep my old Antomode for the sub and use the new one for main L&R from say 80hz to 500Hz and apply manual tweaking (PEQ) on top of that. Still better than XT32 as I can do the tweaking of the mid range, which is where I like to cut some DB as I like a laid back sound. The fundamental frequency of the human voice is much lower and that would be made flat by the automatic correction. So I still may not get a laid back sound by tweaking from 500 to 2000Hz.

I may be better off using the old Antimode for the bass as I am doing now and just use the manual EQ on the pre-pro/AVR (Denon 3310) as I am doing now. When I spend $1200, I like to have all the options I need. This idea of 2ch correction without sub option does not appeal very much to me. I have to read the manual thoroughly to make sure I have the options I need.

Got my Anti Mode Dual Core today and set it up with my 3 Submersives. Once I got it dialed in, Holy Crap! Is it worth the $$$$, should be a few hundred cheaper but I'm Ok as I got in on the early buy. It set a nice flat freg across the board and then I tweaked it and added a house curve from 15 to 50 hz. It is simple to set on the screen on the front of the unit and just click the lift bar and it does it all for you. Menu driven with not alot of brain work. Got back that nasty intense bass that we all love instead of the boring flat. It is a keeper. Hope some of the HT mag guys get one to test and write about.

i was waiting for this. i figured it was gonna rock. i have a few questions:
did you connect all 3 subM's to the anti mode?
how long did it take to set up?
and finally, would you say it's easier to use than the sms-1?
thanks

I have the first Submersive behind the TV in the middle of the front wall, the other 2 Submersives are on the L & R of the seat against the L & R wall. this way I got 2 groups with the sub gains set the same. It took about 10 minutes all together for setup. This is the Anti Mode and is very easy to use, fully automatic and all you do is make choices in the menu for final SQ.
