If any of you have the opportunity to watch the show Alcatraz on Fox, check out episode 2. I have never heard such incredibly low bass from a broadcast show. My walls were shaking after the interrogation scene.

Another Fox show, American Horror Story (FX) had some very good bass. Since these audio tracks are processed in DD, there's no reason why they can't go low.

I noticed that but I always thought it was unintentional.

I've had the same thought with a few shows like that.

For a TV show (intentionally ignoring "broadcast" for the moment): The Pacific and Band of Brothers were both excellent.

For a broadcast TV show, I like what the original CSI (Las Vegas) does with sound/bass integration. Plenty of bass in some scenes, but very well integrated into the soundtrack and story. Some shows I feel pump the bass too much, which is distracting. Shows such as....House Hunters International for example.

I have enjoyed the bass in "Fringe"

I like the drums and ships in "BattleStar Galactica"

"The Pacific"- best bass and audio mix of anything made for tv IMO.

I've been listening to my subs a little hot lately and I have found a lot more of what seems like unintentional bass in TV shows such as doors closing, wind, etc...

Wish I knew what it was, but last week I was sitting on the couch (probably reading the forum) on the laptop with the TV on.

I felt a ripple propagate from the back bedroom, through the laundry, across the living room, and into the kitchen.

It made me involutarily school-girl giggle.
