I am new to this whole audio thing and I have read thread after thread on speakers, speaker wiring, avr's, blu ray players, ect....

I just can't seem to find a thread on how to properly setup a subwoofer in the room, especially an explanation what the knobs mean on the back of the subwoofer. I have read what setting it should be at for optimal sound like the LPF, but what exactly does the LPF do? What does these knobs I see on the back of the subwoofer do and what exactly is a good range to set these knobs at?

I have a Denon 4311ci AVR and a Paradigm sub 12 if that helps at all.

Any threads leading me in the right direction is much appreciated.

Frank

Here's a couple of links for you. I just picked up the 4311 and there's some good info here.
