No but your soundstage will suck. You can get some black vinyl shelf liner like this to keep the speaker from shifting and place the speaker on top of the empire.

Man, I'm sorry, I should have been more descriptive. I didn't mean the bookshelf speaker, I meant the bookshelf bookshelf on the left. I'm wondering if placing it there would affect the performance of the Empire in any way.

As far as the bookshelf speaker is concerned, I'm replacing those with Towers or new speakers and stands.

LOL Sorry. I don't think so. If you look at where some of my subs are they are real close to other objects and it does not effect their sound.

I figured as much, my only other option is on the other side of the TV

Attachment 243537

I'm trying to take advantage of the corner placement by putting it where it is. On the other side, there's a wall about 2 feet from where I'd put it.

Did you place the sub at the LP and then walk/crawl around the room to see where the bass sounded the best?

no. I would have loved to do that, but that Empire is a tank.

While your at it can you put the tea party table somewhere else instead of in the middle of the room.

LMFAO

The 4 little ones think that's their place to eat, have dessert, watch Adventure Time, and generally take over the room which I've pieced together over the years.
