I wanted to start a video thread of people posting their sub playing the first battle scene in Master and Commander: Far Side of the World.

This starts at 8:50 into the move and runs for 3:31. So go ahead and record your sub and post it!

An audiophile likes to talk about how much they spent and how good it sounds.

A DIY'er likes to talk about how little they spent and how good it sounds.

I'm not going to post yet (puny subs), but for others, did you do the DVD or BD version?

Not sure if it would be discernible on Youtube but apparently there's a difference.

Just food for thought

cheers

DVD. IMHO it doesn't matter. Just doing it for some fun

Is that a DIY sub? I don't recall seeing one that looks quite like it. Just curious...

I ordered a copy of this movie to see if I can add any of the scenes to my arsenal for testing subwoofers. If it turns out to be demanding enough perhaps I'll submit a video to this thread.

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite

It's a DIY Infinity Kappa. Please do post a video for the fun of it.
