Hi all,
I just bought a pair of Definitive Technology Studio Monitor 350 speakers and I'd appreciate some advice on a suitable subwoofer under $500 to complement them (driven by a Yamaha RX-V473 receiver). The room I need them for is about 400 squared feet and I'm interested in using them for both music and movies. Btw, I'm not interested in wireless subwoofers.

Thanks in advance for bearing with another Audio amateur smile.gif

Hi Elias,
I suggest a few of our best selling subs. a) if you can go a little above your budget, the SC 2000 is a very compact, sealed sub without the benefits of it's bigger brothers in the SC series (display, wireless capability, remote etc). But it has stunning output from such a small box, which is why people love it. Retail is $599
b) the ProSub 1000 at $499 retail and ProSub 800 at $399 retail also sell really well. The cabinets are not quite as compact, but they offer lots of performance for the money.
I hope this helps - best, Joe
