More Classical music needed, some Bach on church organs should be very low.

Will I find La Scala, or better, to displace my La Scala fronts, before I displace my kg1, kg2 & kg3 with Heresy or better?

Haven't measured myself but seems quite a bit of the stuff from Dymons, like Emerald Tablets, would qualify...

I would update this thread with more content but there is no reference volume for music so I pretty much gave up on the thread. If someone has a better way of doing this then I could update it.

Still not a bad place to put some thoughts on music with good bass, no ideas on how to level the playing field, though...

Great idea for a thread. Linkin Park & NIN are always great selections. The 1st 2 cds by Justin Timberlake are great for bass as well.
Big Jazz music fan here, there are tons of great bass in Jazz. My reference disc is by Jamie Cullum "twentysomething" CD/SACD.

Hahaha. I was wondering which song you meant and then I heard the first five notes. Yeah, fun track. I don't expect to find Air fans here smile.gif

For some reason that link didn't work out properly smile.gif Must be trying to post it ( badly ) from a cell phone! right at 1:55 the heavy bass kicks in - then again near the end.. I love it - totally rumbles my room. I posted an extra one down below as well - great bass in all of them, and great tracks too - not just music with deep bass for the sake of bass.

Also this one, bass kicks in at 17 seconds:

Also, Paradise Circus ( Gui Borrato remix ) - serious bass kicks in at 2:05

re: Homogenic, I managed to see Bjork at one of her live shows for this album - I'm not sure what set up they were using but what must have been 5000 people were there and the bass was impressive for the large, open venue!

I have heard most of the songs recommended on this master list and I have never heard a song that I wanted to recommend....until today. PLEASE listen to "Churippu bleu marine" by an artist called "Vkee Madison." It really pounds. Guaranteed to give your system a stern workout, and the song is actually quite nice too. Available on itunes

I was listening to Rap God by Eminem and noticed something in the low end that sounded weird to me...

Nelly Furtado - Childhood dreams, from the album Folklore . It has church organs, no bass just for the sake of bass. Can anyone recomend me songs like this ?
