I'm getting ready to order the VTF-2 MK4, but I want to be absolutely sure it's the best one I can buy for the money. It's on sale for $519 and the room I am putting it in is 1680 cu ft. Please don't tell me for $700 you can get blah blah blah, which is a better sub. My budget is $500-$550. I also want a sub that goes down to 18 Hz , which the VTF-2 MK4 is capable of.

For that room size it's more than enough! I just recently upgraded to the 2.4 coming from an Energy VSW10 and the difference is very noticeable. I have a 24 x 12 listening/HT area in my basement and I initially thought the 2.4 wouldn't be sufficient and really contemplated on either the 3.4 or the VTF 15 even, but I plan on going dual 2.4 soon when funds allow it. Now I think I'm gonna just save the money for a better receiver. Get it and be happy with it!
