Hi Folks - My name is Mark and for the past decade I've been producing electronic music. Since I've been a bassaholic ever since Axel F. came out in 1984 and I played the 45 at 33 rpm. I couldn't get enough of the excursion I saw! Skip ahead to present day and as Dub King I have written & produced 80+ songs that are available on soundcloud.com, either to stream or to download for free. As an audiophile I've paid special attention to full-range dynamics and spacial imaging, but for a number of my tracks I've stepped up the game and included infrasonic rhythmic elements.

The purpose of this thread is to introduce the Dub King tracks most likely to make your sub-woofer beg for mercy, or turn your sub-woofer amp into a space heater. For some tracks you will need a sub that is comfortable playing below 20hz for extended periods.

As a rule I'll attempt to describe the tracks and their bass content as thoroughly as possible, including spectral analysis. I encourage members to post video of their subs playing back these tracks.

Special thanks to AVS member and LFE addict 'popalock' for the thread title!

As a rule I'm going to keep the tracks on this thread at 16hz and above. tracks with sub-16hz content will be posted in the sister thread in the DIY section. So here's the second track, "Dead Serious Dub" - Also notable for being the first 'excursion video' for a Dub King track, courtesy of AVS member and DIY sub builder BassThatHz. Enjoy.

24/98 .wav file download link: https://soundcloud.com/psychedelicious/dead-serious-dub-stark-mix/download
soundcloud stream: https://soundcloud.com/psychedelicious/dead-serious-dub-stark-mix

Here's what you are up against:

BassThatHz's " LMS 5400 Ultra 18. Powered by the iTech 8000 @ -10db lights @1ohm, 240v/60hz 15amp breaker, 14awg power wire, 10awg speaker wire."

Good morning bass lovers. Today's link is to "Dub Kingdom Come" which is mid-tempo jam that features one mean kick drum that explodes with depth starting at 1:30. Really makes you feel like you got your money's worth if you've got a good sub. This is a 24/96 .wav file, so enjoy the bandwidth.

Direct download 24/96 wav: https://soundcloud.com/psychedelicious/dub-kingdom-dub-dub-king/download
Soundcloud Streaming: https://soundcloud.com/psychedelicious/dub-kingdom-dub-dub-king

Sorry, no Spectrum Lab charts yet, gotta stick with what I know how to use until I get over that hump.

It won't play on my inferior Android phone... Also, I've tried to strean all of your other songs that I have downloaded to my AVR through All Share (DLNA) and I won't let me...

I know this is some high quality stuff, so I'm going to try to figure out a work around...

Have you downloaded the soundcloud app for android? If you are on Wifi it should stream just fine, albeit at compromised quality. I couldn't live without a HTPC.

I want to elaborate on my soundcloud comment for a moment. I have used their site for 2 years now, without a doubt 1 of the most rewarding communities I've been a part of.
my humble opinion the sound cloud player is the best streaming player out there. the instantaneous graphical access to the wave form, the comments, and the quality. I don't know what exact bit rate they use to stream, I do know it will tax my phone's 4g connection. I also know it is difficult to impossible to discern the difference between the soundcloud stream uncompressed file, except for whatever the output amplifier in the playback device takes away from it.

Good morning folks,

Busy day today, gotta run. As a placeholder, one of the songs that long ago inspired me to research subwoofers and infrasound. "Her Friends the Wolves" by Coil. The 'beat' is a very deep grainy rumble. Later in the track you get to 'see' some ULF excursions, single digit Hz. Depending on your rig, you might also feel blasts of air.

Word!!! I just posted this infrasonic monster on the DIY thread. Lots of deep throbbing. Korg M3 is providing the oscillators, Ableton Live the sequencing and effects. "Stolen Song" by Dub King
