There are other products that perform the same function, but the OmniMic is very, very simple to get up and running and perform basic measurements.

If anyone else is interested, I got the book off Amazon for 20 with free shipping, but there are also used copies going for 11 + 4 shipping.

+1 on the omnimic kit... really easy to use... within 5 minutes of opening the box, you'll be getting useful meaurements...
