Despite the fact that I own 2 Epik Legends, I would not recommend them for your size of room. Also they will never go
as low as a HSU fp15hp. Although I've never had any trouble with mine....the amp get "extremely hot" and many have
had problems with the amps failing, heat kills electronics.

An underpowered sub sounds bad. Go for the strongest, cleanest amp. Even 50 watts is something you may miss someday, since all the watts are strictly for the sub. 50 watts spread out over the entire frequency spectrum may have little impact, but if confined to the sub, they take on more importance. I have owned M&K subs that didn't sound as tight as the newer higher powered subs. Go for power.

Okay, Done deal! After reading all the reviews and shoot out, I made up my mind by placing an order for the Rythmik FV15hp (the 550W version instead of the 600W) from Ascend Acoustics (saving more than $100 in tax than if I would have ordered from Rythmik since they are in TX). It should be here some time this week. This should be a HUGE upgrade from the HSU VTF2.3. Thanks everyone who helps making my decision.
its phillip likes this.
