Hi guys,

Does anyone manufacture a decent quality, under $2000, subwoofer with a real cherry veneer enclosure these days?

I have been looking off & on to replace an Aperion Bravus 12D subwoofer that bit the dust last year but haven't made any headway.

Why did so many manufacturers (e.g. Aperion, SVS, etc.) drop the cherry veneer option from their product lines?

Another option might be to replace a pair of Aperion Intimus 6T (2-way?) Tower speakers with (2) Verus Grand (3-way?) Towers and omit the subwoofer instead.

Anyone know what the re-sale value for (2) 2009 Intimus 6T Towers in mint condition might be? I believe they retailed for $695.00 ea. when new.

How about the Rosenut veneer available on some HSU subs?

cel4145, thanks for your reply but the rosenut veneers for the HSU subs is too dark.

This is a pretty good depiction of what the enclosures for the Aperion Bravus/Intimus/Verus speakers look like:

You could see if Funk Audio can do a veneer in the color you want.

Seaton Submersives are a little over your budget, but I think they might come in the veneer you want (see photo gallery). And they are considered one of the best subs you can buy in terms of SQ and overall performance.

The only way this is feasible would be if you don't watch any movies. Without a sub you'd miss out on the LFE channel.

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite
