Didn't you already order the Klipsch? Order another. For $600 that would be what I would do over a single $600 sub unless like cel said, you plan to spend an equal amount soon. I definitely encourage multiple subs in any case.

Yea I ordered one but started thinking about another but then started thinking if I get 2 what's out there for the price of 2 lol

What will I miss below 24hz? Is there a sub that gets below 24hz in this price range? This would be my last sub purchase for a long while...

I hear ya guys on evening the room out with 2 subs though, just checking all my options....

Simply put, you cannot beat 2 RW12s in that price range.

Your room will likely help out below 24hz in any case. Now if you have DIY skills and the room for a big box, you can do better in terms of more extension for the money (as long as you don't charge yourself for the time smile.gif ).

Thats a good point. Anyone can do much better if they want to build their own.

Had the same issue back last summer when I try to order my RW-12d . . . They ran out of the number available set aside for the coupon.  I had to wait for the next sale to get mine ordered on the discount . . . I made sure almost two weeks later that I was first in line online (ordered the first hour after newegg sent the code).

Not saying for sure that is what happened to you, but maybe.  That is how newegg explained it to me, before saying that they still had many available for full price.  I waited . . . Having a sub was a non-emergency for me . . . And got the discount 11 days later.  I love the sub; it is in our office setup.

Are you registered for their mailing list? I think they have things setup now so you have to be eligible for promo codes. Since that one went out by email, simply registering now may solve the problem. But that's just a guess.

I thought I would chime, in although I have no way to measure my RW12D definitely puts out substantial SPL at 20Hz. Probably below -3db from 30Hz but during calibrated test tones I have used 20Hz is very audible. I did the sub crawl for positioning and ended up with its back corners about 8" off the wall in a front corner. Don't know what your room will do or the answer to one other for $600 or two of these, but I know of reviews of this at original Price of $700 and it was mid pack and well reviewed at that price.

The code was posted on the item description page, so that can't be it.

Hope you get in under the wire.

I think Newegg.com remembers via cookies if you have logged into the site before. When I've run CC Cleaner and cleaned out all my cache and cookies, sometimes I don't get those promo codes displayed until I log back in one time.

Was going to buy a Rythmik LV12r but decided to get two RW12-D's for the same price. I have a 16'x26' room with Ceilings ranging from 12' to 18' (sloped in the front and back of the room with an 15'-18' wide section of 18' tall ceilings in the middle. I figured I needed 2 subs over a better one sub that has better acoustics. My goal is to eventually have 2 LV12R's or F12's. just not in the budget right now.

I am replacing one 10' Klipsch Synergy so it should be a HUGE step up for me. Work my way to the top slowly I guess!

Has anyone compared the RD-12d to the newer Klipsch SW110/112 subwoofers?

I was able to get the SW110 in 2011 for $299 down from $549 which seemed like a ridiculous deal considering the model was only out for a short time. Now I'm curious about these as well. I really like the SW110, though. cool.gif

Ordered 2 during the saturday sale. Woohoo.
Anyway, one is for a music system, Yamaha C-80 pre and M-80 amp driving a pair of original magnaplaner speakers.
Anyone have a recomendation for an electronic variable crossover that would go between the pre and power amp?
I'd like to filter anything below 100hz out before it reaches the M-80 and feed that to the sub and anything above 100 goes to the M-80 to feed the maggies.
Now, 100hz is just a starting point. I'd like something adjustable if it is available so I can tweak.

The other sub is for the HT, yamaha rx-v3800 driving klipsch 5.2s.
UPS tracking says they will arrive Wednesday.
I'm getting excited.

Check out the specs on klipsch.com . . . I have never auditioned them side-by-side . . . But I love my RW-12d between my La Scalas in my music setup, especially for 2.1 listening, especially for the sub $300 newegg price point.

I am really surprised that you keep such a cheap sub with such incredible speakers. Why dont you upgrade the sub? Its not that good.

I bet something like a submersive HP with matching wood finish would be awesome with those speakers.

Yeah, nothing like a home theater subwoofer to muddy up the nice tight bass of the La Scala.
