Even with the price increase , they are a hell of a bargain !

The nice thing about spending money on speakers and subs is they last a long time , usually until it is time to upgrade cool.gif . (unlike receivers that are now a throw away item)

Samsung 55 inch lcd
Marantz sr5400
Parasound HCA 1500
Parasound HCA 1000

I have a multi carriage CD player that at a thousand bucks, one time was considered "high end." I will donate it to a local church and hope they don't laugh at me. tongue.gif

(yeah, we should get ten bucks, if lucky, for THAT)

Whoa whoa whoa sir...

What happen to your dual opposed LMS-U setup?

Unless something else has changes, I recall you being SEVERELY amp limited with the LMS-U's. Don't expect much to change when you get they UXL's on hand. I hear they are quite power hungry as well.

I tried to use this line on the wifey for getting a LCR 212HT setup. Alas, I was immediately reminded of the the fact that I have 16 subs in my theater down stairs. Damn sub journey CB'ing my speaker aspirations.

I still have it of course smile.gif

I'm only amp limited below 10-15hz depending on what I'm watching. adding another sub isn't about gaining more SPL, but increasing headroom and allowing for less power in order to reach reference leveIs. I'll be swapping amplifiers in the near future as well. Nothing extravagant, but it will definitely give me more power. With the UXL sub I'll have the dual LMS, a single Pierce Audio, and the new sub filling about 4500 cuft (since the place isn't airtight by any means. I'm rarely sending the amp I have connected to the LMS U into clipping now SO hopefully with the new build I'll eliminate it altogether.

I think I probably should have just went with an OS and been done. But then you'd have to know how 2 OS sound together. I honestly believe there is no cure for this disease until you're literally sitting inside a giant subwoofer.

But in the end, like life, it really is the journey and not the destination and as for me I've met some really great people and had some entertaining reads. smile.gif

Good people around here biggrin.gif I thought I had two OS lined up to add to the 8 sealed 18's I have, but I am afraid someone beat me to the punch. Today is a sad day...

That's why we have receivers, televisions and new technology.........to make sure our journey never turns into a destination. tongue.gif

In the mail, a universal Blu-ray player and matching flagship AVR. How long will that pair last before being obsoleted? And that flat screen we purchased a year and a half ago, how long before technology runs it over with the up-and-coming 4k standard? Blu-ray, oh yeah, like they're not going obsolete that technology in the next three to six years. tongue.gif

(i think they're trying to get our money)
