Started out many years ago with surround speakers only. Next I bought an Infinity BU-1. About 2 years later I added another Infinity BU-1. Just last week I bought a Polk Audio PSW505. It showed up damaged, but worked fine,,,, It was a huge improvement BUT,knowing I was sending it back and after reading the AVS forum and seeing what others were saying and finding out there were so many levels of quality..... I had the golden opportunity to just "check" to see what else I could get into.... just another step or 2 up..... after much reading and hours of pondering how real true bass might sound..... I pulled the trigger on a HSU VTF2 MK4. All I can say is, man, Im glad that Polk showed up damaged!!!

Sometime in the early 2000's?? JBL Cinema Pro Pack 600 or something along those lines, it was a HTiB with coffe cup sattelites and a passive 8" sub, sounded decent for first system, much better than Bose imo.
Went for several years with no stereo after moving.
2013: The JBL amp from the HTiB was way too deep for the built in bookshelves in my current living room so ended up purchasing:
RXV-375 Yamaha AVR
Polk PSW110 since the JBL sub was passive.
HSU HB1 MK2 for mains and HSU HC1 center
Sony BDP5100 blu ray.
Bought a SVS PB12-NSD January 2nd 2014
Traded in for PB200, it is the final destination, has arrived and is set up.
My room can only accommodate one sub, and this one has more output than I will ever need. Planning to be content with this for many years.
Haha...AVS is probably the most common carrier of the bug, so anyone spending ample time around the wrong crowd is bound to get infected.
XV15's, but I belive you have mentioned upgrading yet again in another year(Rythmik kits and diy cabs). I would say you have definitely been bit by the bug.
I still say you should go up another level if you actually do make a sub change. While the Rythmik is still a notch up, imo its not worth the change from what you currently have. Go multiple sealed or LLT UXL-18's if you want to quench the thirst for bass.
That's kinda the premise of this thread. If it helps one or two people skip a few steps in the upgrade journey, then it's served it's purpose.

Edit: It's probably been reported already, but just in case it wasn't, I reported it here.

Well, that seems like the most logical approach AVS could take, but....who knows.
Hopefully they make time to address your post sooner than later.
Every day that passes I am becoming more and more convinced that new AVS should come with a operating manual.
