You don't have to put anything in hock but the least expensive recommendation I can make would be a pair of Klipsch, RW-12d's
at a current delivered price of $600.00.
That deal ends today. Ya snooze, you lose. Like that.
From here, quite literally, the sky's the limit. From the Klipsch, RW-12d, I would recommend a pair of SVS, PB12-NSD's
but delivered, that would set one back $1,538.00. I think one gets a price break if they buy a pair. You'd have to give them a call to find out.
If because of the price, you're hesitant, I understand. Get a pair of RW-12d's, get them up and running. Add a DSPeaker, Anti-Mode, 8033S II (delivered $450.00) to balance the subs with the room acoustics and go from there. My opinion, based on what you posted, a minimum would be a pair of RW-12d's with an Anti-Mode to deal with your room's, subwoofer destroying acoustics.
(Sound waves bounce around in a room creating nulls and modes or peaks and valleys which are the enemy of sound waves.)
Hope the above helps get you going in the right direction.
