Do you guys know of any reviews where a tht horn has showed up along with the others?

Kinda getting the itch here. I've never even heard a big subwoofer other than my THT (which moves furniture..)

Been looking at the hsu vtf-15h and wondering how it would compare..

Here's my tht horn thread from a while back.

I think the Tuba may have many times the output of any Hsu sub, or any other manufacture direct sub save for the monsters from Danley and JTR. I have a feeling if you are going from a properly constructed THT to any conventional subwoofer, you are bound to be disappointed in terms of performance.

I took a peek at your build and I didn't see any measurements or graphs, did I miss them?

There have been a number of THT build threads. At least two have measurements; most do not have measurements. The THT plays to 22 Hz (its tune) at very high pressure levels and with very low distortion. A number of individuals built two THTs and purchased amplification (for under $800).

Do you have a link to those that have graphs? That was my next question, so it's tuned to 22hz. I have my sights on doing a DIY this winter so i'm looking at my choices.

I don't have any graphs. What I do have is another speaker left over from my other build...

Hmm, maybe a table tuba this time.. They sure are big.. I think ya'll talked me into it..

Maybe a more powerful speaker in a bit smaller box might give me the same as my current..

Good topic. I guess i also wanted to start a similar topic. Been using my THT sub for almost over 2 years, i was wondering if i am missing out on all those crazy LFE's. I hear very good things about Seaton Submersive subwoofers specially the dual driver based Submersive F2's and the HP. Been reading on the "The New Master List of BASS in Movies with Frequency Charts" and most of the people there talk about sub sound "i guess" i havent heard through the THT, and they hear it through their seaton subwoofers.
I guess i am going through a phase of buyers remorse biggrin.gif Although i love my THT sub, but i havent heard any other highly capable sub hence.

What those guys with Submersives are hearing is one of the best direct radiator subs available. It still isn't a horn.

THT charts abound in the DIY section.
