I am currently in the market for a new woofer. I am interested in:

JBL ES250P

Polk PSW505

Bic RTR EV1200

I would like to receive input on which one you feel is best and any recommendations within the same price range. I mainly listen to music. In advance--thanks for your help and happy holidays.

Also the size of your listening area would be helpful.

Not particularly familiar with the subs although think you should save a bit more to raise your budget. I have read relatively nice things about the Polk 505, also you might look for an Energy 10.3 at a good sale price, but they may already be gone. Klipsch RW12d on sale at 299 is a good deal. JBL might be alright but couldn't view specs. BIC has a cute brandnamething there with "eviction" but doubt it really would do that as well as a better sub. My .02

This JBL Sub150p is a very nice performer. It's actually tuned to 27hz like JBL specs

Oh wow I forgot posting a link to where the best price for something is, isn't common curtsey for a recommendation on AVS

You could simply ask how I know that...

I also created a thread to discuss it

While a curtsey is what a girl does when bowing before royalty, I really wouldn't expect you to do that for me smile.gif

I can't read your link cuz it wants me to sign up for something which I'm not interested in. Creating a thread is nice but doesn't really mean much without seeing the measurements. Strange looking sub but suum quique. The OP was looking for a different JBL, where does this one fit in their lineup/price compared to that one?
