We know they make good subs. Has anyone heard there speakers? I am 90% commited to Definitive Tech 8060 towers, 8040 Center, 8040 rears, Pro Monitor 1000's front high. All with a VTF-15H. But I could get the 7.1 from HSU for 1400 cheaper

Search the speaker forum for the Hsu bookshelf/center speakers which are quite highly regarded.

Their speakers sound terrific, with excellent imaging and powerful mid-bass punch. Rather than having different Def Tech speaker models for your fronts vs surround vs heights vs centre, you can get seven of the same Hsu speaker for all your channels, for seamless and consistent sound all the way around your room.

Here's a older review of the hsu speakers. Not sure when that was posted from stereomojo http://stereomojo.com/HSU%20HB1%20Mk2%20Speaker%20Review/HSUHB1Mk2SpeakerReview.htm

+1 I'm headed to the family cabin tomorrow and taking a bunch of movies to watch on an old SD CRT with a Hsu Hybrid 3 pkg. At least the audio half of the movies will be awesome. I liked the HB-1s so much I bought a set in rosenut (which is really nice). They play clean thoughout the spectrum, have great bass and get plenty loud. Get the 15h package(and in rosenut if you can swing it) and never look back.

I want that cabin!

Anyway I'm also an owner of 2 HB HSU's and 1 HC (center). I've loved these since I bought them. I just recently replaced my Velodyne CHT 10 with the HSU STF 2. I'm still configuring it , but so far I love the set up.

I do recommend.
