I have on old Klipsch sub from my first surround system. 1996
It has a 10 inch sub in front and a 12" passive radiator in the rear, and only 100w

I'm considering re-using the cabinet with a new sub?
Would i seal up the rear, re-use the radiator, or put a port in it.?

I have a stereo amp available with enoiugh power, I'm thinking it would work well with a 4ohm DVC sub.

Any suggestions?

A suggestion would be to check in the DIY forum as there's more to subwoofers regarding matching drivers to box sizes. As to is it worth it, that's a personal judgement call as to what your costs are going be for a replacement driver, amplifier and any other needed electronics. This of course will be coupled to amount of time you'll have to put into the project and the time it takes to bring you up to speed; learning curve.
