Hi, all - hoping to get some opinions/feedback.
Currently running a 7.1 system in approx. 3200 cubic ft room. The .1 is a 15" Velodyne DLS-5000R (rated down to 23Hz).
I am really interested in moving to a dual sub setup; I have a Velodyne SMS-1 sitting in my cabinet, not currently hooked up.
The Velodyne is discontinued and it is nearly impossible to find a mate for it (at least local to me).
I came across a Precision Acoustics HD15s (sold by Best Buy in Canada, not sure about the US) that is not that expensive right now. It is only rated down to 32Hz and 250W continuous power (the Velo is 600W continuous).
Wondering if adding this sub is worth the time and effort, or just useless?
Option 2 is to sell the Velo and go with a couple of SVS (this is basically the only brand-name dealer in Canada); but not sure which model(s) to go with, and price would be limiting factor.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
