Hoping someone can help me out. I have a Velodyne 12x15 that needs a new 15" Passive Radiator. The current one is torn and it's not really worth trying or attempting to repair.

Looking for a recommendation for a replacement under $200. Thanks!

I'd try some place like this

http://www.simplyspeakers.com

Call them and let them know what you have. I bet you're looking at $30-40 tops.

I looked at their site and all the carry are repair kits. I want a complete replacement. Thanks though.

Here is another.

No you know you have to tune theses with weight. Not al passive will get the same results using the same weight in your Velo.

That Looks like total over kill? I don't mind spending the money but It seem like more then I need. Would it be worth it in Sound quality? Better, Deeper base? Not sure I have room for it.....

I think this would be perfect but it seems to be discontinued?

You need to find out what mass you need(there's a velo support thread here). You should be able to find replacements around 50 bucks.

http://showtimecaraudio.net/shop/bargains/pr-15-15-passive-radiator/

You might need to modify the cutout on your enclosure too.

Is your model number VA1512? 12" woofer out 15" radiator facing down? If so I have one here that was running fine 6 months ago when I upgraded. I had to replace my 12" woofer in it about 3-4 years ago. PM me an offer if you're interested in trying to work something out. We could prolly pull parts or whatever since you won't need the box.

Steves, I also have the va1215. I changed out both the driver and the passive through PE. The passive is no longer available. The reason I changed out the driver and passive was due to rot. The foam surround on both speakers just fell apart.

If you have not already checked the driver, you should. I replaced my 12" with the Dayton Titanic.

Hi, I just came across your post regarding the passive radiator. As it turns out I have just one on eBay. If I had seen your post before putting in the ad I would have offered it to you first. It's still very functional and I was thinking about using it in a subwoofer project but I've never gotten around to it so I put it on auction with a buy-it-now price of $29.99 + a flat $10.00 shipping, so if you're still looking for one it's available at a bargain. Let me know through here or through eBay. Thanks and I hope you can use it as it's just been taking up space smile.gif
