My old dual sub setup are Def Tech SC II. Now I'm in the market for bigger dual subs. That will go deeper bass and higher output. And I like the dual setup. So I narrowed my choices to these two ID brands. But don't know which ones. And I use my system 70% movies and 30% music.

passive an option?

dual captivator 2400's passive for $1500 each + cerwin vega CV5000 amp for $680 from musicians friend + HPF filter option of some sort like the MIC2200 for $80 = much better than either other option you posted for ~ money.

or you might see what kind of special Jeff is offering on a pair of Captivator 2400's that are in his deals/specials thread
