Some of you guys act like I'm the first person to have a lot of bass in a smaller size room....lol

My comments are based on four XS30's as what was posted and which I responded to; adding and stacking two more XS30's. I was not responding to comments regarding a room with a single XS30.

It's your hearing to do with what you want. No need to make an argument out of the facts regarding what happens to one's hearing when their ears meet up with damaging sound levels. And yes, there are a lot of people running around with damaged hearing due to excessive sound related listening levels.

Please reread my comments so as to reacquire context of my comments.

(sorry for the buzz kill comments)

My attitude, if someone wants to blast their hearing into oblivion, more power to them. It's a shame folks have to permanently damage their hearing before recognizing.........the damage was preventable.

You must not be familiar with Jeff or the JTR brand, if you were you'd know that nothing Jeff does is about marketing BS.

I am familiar, BS was to strong but the dual prices bugs me. I know Jeff is a good guy, he drags equipment half way across the country for GTGs. That speaks volumes for his character.

Sorry I offended, post came off much stronger than intended.

But the msrp in the first place doesn't bother you? Or only when compared to something else? I do agree it's still bs but if that's what works with "the consumer" whaddya gonna do?

Why is it BS if no one that buys directly from JTR pays it?

From I read both the JTR and Seaton are worth the high entry cost, but I have not heard either. I know the amps the use in their subs are pricey. Hope to hear both eventually.

What kind of support is that for those dealers who are trying to sell at list price? When was the last time you paid list price for anything for that matter?

My understanding is Jeff had a few guys who were dealers for JTR speakers when he first started building speakers. I'm not 100% sure he still has dealers for his products. I also don't know if they had a cost slightly less then what people can buy directly from JTR. Hence the reason that I said PM Jeff if you really felt a need to know.

I'm still trying to figure out why you even care that he has a list price for his products? And why you think it's BS as you put it. I bet half the equipment you own has a list price that you could find online somewhere.

I just prefer a price. Not an unused MSRP, especially when that very manufacturer sells it to you for yet a different price....whatssup with that...he suggests a price and then goes crazy larry on ya and beats it himself? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but then marketing is a weird science as consumers can have some very strange ideas and expectations. Heck, maybe it's an inside joke for these ID guys (my Epik was sold the same way).

Back to your regularly scheduled programming....
