Hey guys,
Im on a budget due to me going to Sydney soon, so
my room is about 3x4
Im 50/50 with movies and music
And want Depth and clarity (i could go the SuBsonic XS2, but 25hz isnt low enough)
im on an $800 Budget and live in australia so SVS is a little more expensive

3m x 4m = ~10' x 13' = 130 sq.ft. That's a pretty small room.

The SB12-NSD will have good output, and if you get sufficient room gain, you could get usable extension below 20Hz. The PB-1000 will also have good output, and it "natively" digs to 19Hz. Both subs are reportedly good with music as well as HT. A bit of a tough call, IMO, but I'd go with the PB-1000.

Thanks mate,
That saves me alot more money. IMO the svs pb-1000 in aus is $649.
If i can, i will probably go the pb12 nsd, Depending on what i can save..
I will probably end up getting 2 pb1000 subwoofers in the long run seeing as they are so cheap!

Go with the PB-1000 as I was told by Doug from SVS that will still have more output than the SB12-NSD and the difference in clarity will be minimal. If you can swing it, I'd try and spend a few extra bucks for the PC12-NSD at $100 more than the SB12 and a whole lot more bang for the buck.

If you want depth and clarity how about the PB12NSD instead? Or the Rythmik LV12R. Either would provide more than ample bass in a room that size.

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite

If im really going to spend more than $900 ill go with the subsonic LOL
Im a tight ass so $649 or $799 is good for me.
Pb12 nsd Or SuBsonic XS1 is a hard ask. Probably subsonic seeing as my Father has one
and i can get the subsonic cheaper than $1200 same price as a pb12 nsd

Not really, seeing as how the SuBsonic XS1 has a 250W (RMS?) amp and a FR of 22-150Hz +/-3dB, while the SVS PB12-NSD has a 400W RMS amp and a FR of 18-150Hz +/-3dB (and SVS' excellent product and customer service reputation behind it).

Not sure why you'd want to spend PB12-NSD money on an inferior sub, but it's your money, so all the best to you. smile.gif
