I have been all over the place as far as requests for suggestions...I realize that may be annoying.

Finally, I bought a RW-12d (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882780078) on sale...I am now contemplating using that in the bedroom in a 2.1 setup pending the following question...

Would a Rythmik FV15HP (http://www.ascendacoustics.com/pages/products/subs/fv15hp.html) be a "huge" upgrade for home theater (larger room w/sub-optimal acoustics (lots of openings)?

I have also ordered...

I got the B model stands on the memorial day sale.

Thanks all

This is a subjective hobby, so it's hard to say if the Rythmik would be a huge upgrade given the amount of factors leading to that decision.

.... But for 99.9% of people.. Yes. Definitely.

A huge upgrade is a under statement.

I jumped from a RW-12D to a FV15HP. Night and day difference. It's a huge jump up in all aspects.

This is more like Apples and Lemons. The Rythmik would be better in every way.

It wouldn't be a "huge" upgrade - it would be a HUGE upgrade.

lol, thanks guys. I now feel more secure slapping a good chunk of change on the Rythmiks.

This is an aside, but I am completely blown away how far my previous assumptions about speakers were off. The guy at best buy damn near sold me a HTIB Bose setup! Good thing I decided to sleep on it and check out the forums! I was thinking - "Sure, Bose are the best, but do I need 'em?" haha.

I worked at Best Buy about 5-6 years ago (back in my early college days) and it's incredible how they'll hire anyone. There were SOOO many people that had NO CLUE about what they were selling. I literally had the store manager tell me to be a little more vague with customers. Not joking. I can not tell you how many times I had to correct a statement from someone spewing bs, whether it was about a tv, home audio, car audio, computer related, etc. It's sad because most trust the employees with thousands of dollars

I actually worked at Best Buy as well about 13yrs ago. I simply passed the interview, then they asked me where I wanted to work...I said "computers" and that was it. I was selling computers to people as if I was some sort of authority on the subject (I do consider myself to be relative to most people...that is my main hobby).
