No I’m afraid it would not, but you would come up with a much better sub though. You could sell the 12D after you built the DIY to help with funds if that’s a concern. As far as being able to do it, admittedly first time around has the steepest learning curve but they're plenty over in the DIY section that would be willing to help. I know I would notice your thread. It’s not close to as hard as you might think. .. it’s easy to keep things simple.

+1

Even a basic $250 build will make you want to sell your Klipsch.

I've been pricing everything up, and this is what I come up with:

DIY Ported 4 cuft flat pack $120
http://www.diysoundgroup.com/subwoofer-flatpacks-2/ported-subwoofer-flatpacks/4-ported-sub-flat-pack.html

Dayton Audio RSS315HO-4 12" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 Ohm $150.00
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=295-466

Amp wise, I am not sure. Since the DIY box doesn't come pre-cut for a plate amp. So, I am not really sure what amp should be the best to use.

That flat pack is great, but that does drop the value of a budget build compared to a $35 sheet of MDF. You should be able to fit the king of budget drivers, with maybe only some light sanding to the cutout.

You can also ask Eric to make a cutout for a specific plate amp, he doesn't have one pre-cut because every amp is different. This amp will do good with the Infinity

Of course that Dayton RS 12" HF with a 500 watt amp will work well in that box to.

Eric does wonderful work if you decide the half DIY approach. His enclosures are very well braced and easily put together. I see you have a thread over in the DIY section... Going the 15” rout would be even better as long as everything pertaining is kept in mind. A good 12” powered correctly in the rite enclosure can take out a 15”. You’re on the rite track imo.

Parts Express has the Titanic Mark IV listed online... It's supposed to be available mid-July...

If it's not a BIG screen, it's not a theater...

Well that's interesting. Looks exactly the same though. Already bought the Ultimax and really like the their look and they sound great. But I may have to start over and get a sealed dual 12" box. Any suggestions on that would be great.

I just put the SVS amp in a simple box and painted it black. I ended up corner loading the two subs. I am sure I could do much more tweeking, but I am happy with the output. But something tells me I should have put more acoustic stuf in the Dayton box.
