I'm having issues getting sound from my sub... just looking for help with connections.

Current setup

2x M-Audio Bx8a (powered studio monitors)
Yamaha MG82cx (mixer)
Klipsch RW-12d (powered subwoofer)

I got the speakers+mixer connected with sound.. but I can't get sound out of the sub?

I have the Bx8as connected to "Monitor" using XLR to TRS plugs.
I tried connecting the Sub with Banana Plugs to TRS into "FOOT SW" and "STEREO OUT" and "RETURN" but I'm not getting sound from either..

can I even do this with what I have. Please lend assistance to this newbie. biggrin.gif

the manual is your friend. Foot sw is footswitch to turn effects on and off. not likely to have sound. return is for effects return, ie signal back into the mixer, so not likely to output sound.

The high level inputs on the klipsch are expecting amp level output, not line level. Try the line level input. You may need a crossover, too. doesn't need to be trs.
