I currently run a pair of 10" NHT passive subs with a SA3 NHT amp. This is run off of a Denon 3808 and a Denon POA 2400 power amp. The 2400 powers my NHT VT-1.4's and the 3808 powers my NHT Audio center 2 and rears. Lately during some TV feeds or last night while watching a Blu Ray off of a USB drive I noticed my subs would go to full output and even when I set the volume to 0 there was still a signal driving the subs. When I shut off the amp and turned it back on it worked fine. I am thinking the amp may have an issue and wondered if there are any recommendations for a stand alone sub amp with stand by shut off and separate volume control and cross over controls that would run these subs. Would like to stay under $1000. As always thanks for the help.

Berhinger 3000 DSP for around $400 is an option. It has DEQ, PEQ, and other features. They also have 1000 and 6000 DSP amp. Berhinger amp make a little noise due to the fans in the unit. A Dayton amp SA 1000 is also an option.
