I just finished my 3.1 build with HTD L/C/R and an SVS PB-1000 sub. I have a Denon X2000 powering them right now.

The issue is that I get nothing from the Sub, the front 3 sound great, but no matter what I do I can't get the sub to kick in at all. I've swapped the LFE cables, set the sub to "LFE" and the phase to "0" as the manual recommends. I've also set the volume on the sub to the mid point AND to the highest level and can't hear anything from it.

Is there some way to figure out if it is the new sub, or the new AVR that is the issue? I only have one LFE port.

Send the sub level test tone from avr.
If there is no sound, then take the sub cable out from AVR end. Tap on the center pin while the other end is plugged in the sub. You should hear your sub thump with every tap. If it doesn't, the amp on sub is dead. Call SVS. If it does then check your speakers. They must be set to small for your sub to play below the crossover. If crossover is set too low, raise it to 80Hz or above.

I just called SVS, very nice people there.

They had me connect the sub to the AVR front left pre-out just as a test and when we ran the test tone not a peep came from the sub even at the highest volume. They are dropshipping a replacement...very very good customer service!
