Oh yeah? (In my best my dad is stronger than your dad little kid voice)

I have emails from last December hinting at what was coming.

LOL, how stupid is this?!

Serious though, I couldn't imagine listening at reference with these subs.

Going to watch Pacific Rim tonight

Kind of a funny story, my neighbor who helped unload these asked me if I was sure these were meant for home use and not for rock concerts.

3 - JTR 228's LCR (game room)
4 - DIY Sound Group V-8 Coaxials in slanted boxes (game room)
4 - PSA Triax's (game room)
3 - DIY Sound Group V-8 Coaxials in Ported Boxes for LCR's
2 - SVS SB13+'s (living room)
1 - SVS SB12-NSD (bedroom)

Do you calibrate your speakers so that reference is 77dB or 83dB?

I have mine at 83dB I couldn't watch PR at any louder then my master volume set to -10, that movie has tons of bass.

Well I emailed Tom last night and asked about my Triaxes, he responded this morning saying that I'll be among the first in line of the second shipment of drivers. He said the first run got them almost through the end of July pre-orders.

My initial order was placed on August 10th. He also said the second run of drivers looks to be in 10-12 days so I'm guessing another 3-4 weeks before I get mine in.

Sucks to wait but if the reviews on here are any indication it'll be worth it. Guess that gives me plenty of time to play around with my UMIK-1 that I have yet to try smile.gif

So far it's awesome....I had an old Winger CD in with Can't get enuff song....My Wife thought the bass sounded like it was coming from my front speakers and couldn't believe it when I played the song again with Triax off. I haven't even tried a movie yet lol....So much to experiment with....

I ordered mine near the end of July and according to the email Tom sent to me today it looks like mine will be the last one built in the first production run. I'm waiting on confirmation to see if in fact mine squeaked in under the wire......should know by Monday when the last of the first run is scheduled to ship.

If I don't get mine in the first run I blame all you greedy ones who ordered multiples! biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

This sub is amazing. It is much better than the SVS pb12/2+ This is the first sub I have ever owned that I can turn up something that my kids like, in this case it was Flo Rida Low song and the sub went louder than I would even want lol. I'm gonna have a lot if fun with this.

I will say one thing that really stands out too me and the reason why I believe that PSA has set itself apart from some of the other heavy hitters in the high end ID subs such as JTR and Seaton.

The simple fact that all three of them use the exact same amp from Speakerpower.net yet PSA is the ONLY one that still offers a 5 year warranty on the entire sub including the amp just goes to show you what kind of company they really are.

I think 75, how can I tell? I just let Audyssey xt32 set the levels.

If you run Audyssey it's most likey 75dB, I say 77dB in my post but then I remembered Audyssey sets to 75 not 77dB.

They are an amazing upgrade over the pb12/2+ for sure.

I took my 3 XV15's off line a few weeks ago an anticipation of turning them in and had just been running dual PB12+/2's. It is no contest.

I've been waiting all week for the shipping confirmation they told me to look out for so I guess that was for nothing. I want this Triax but when I do business I always keep my part of the bargain and I don't slack. If they didn't tell me that I was pushed back till November then I'll just get my $ back and buy a dual sub setup somewhere else. Have no idea what though, but if I they took me out of my spot in line after all this, then that's a slap in my face
I was told i was on the first batch to, but now im on the second, it really sucks, but what else would i get for my money? Subm hp? You know. But it cannot compare to the Triax, si i FEEL your pain, a d i dont even have a fuc@& sub at all, i got so many movies i got but dont want to because i got no sub.

Black,
Don't get too upset till you talk to Tom. It might be a false alarm. I'm sure that they have shipments going out every week. You have a nice setup and that Triax might be worth your wait. If it did happen, I bet Tom will be able to make it up to you some way. maybe a discount. I do feel your frustration, I was waiting on my delivery for the first week of July. Heck It's sitting in my garage until I get some help with it on Sunday.

This is what Tom told me,

Hi Josh,

For the second run? No, we are currently expediting everything into Vegas as fast as possible so they can start on the next 150 drivers. We are still 4-5 business days from everything being on site. Then they have to begin assembly(another 2-3 business days), then shipping here....another 3-4 business days.

Even if we had everything here it would likely be another 5-7 days to get to your order(mid August)....we just can't build more than 6-8 a day right now and still process other orders. So the delay is another 5-7 days on that. Still stinks I know, but just trying to put a little perspective on it..smile.gif
