Here is the latest beta version of the Mac (and windows), I am installing it now. Will try it out later tonight:

I think if you get the UMIK-1 that is all you need (other than the laptop). I tripod would probably be nice too. My UMIK came with a small desktop tripod.

Thanks raynist, I've been using the tripod off my go pro camera, it's actually really useful for running the Ad Eq. Def let me know how it works, I'm just doing laundry and cleaning up a lil then I'd like to mess around with the system tonight.

I got REW downloaded and installed on my macbook pro. Hooked up the uric-1 and had to set that as the default input device and it appears to be working, at least I can see it is using the mic in REW. Will try to do some measurements tonight if time allows.

If you do, could you post how you have it setup to perform the measurements? I was reading tutorials last night but confused myself and got lost after I got it setup in REW (got the SPL meter working at least). Just not sure on what to do next to run measurements.

I don't know why, but the flash really makes all my equipment look horrible in the pics. There is nothing on the boom arm, yet it looks like it is 10 years old. None of that stuff is on there. confused.gif

Which did you download. There is one that says mac bundle and then there is one that says beta?

Whatever works is all that matters. I like the adapter as no matter what angle the boom is at, I can point the mic straight up. You can get it from the big river also.

I downloaded the beta version because it supports the mic I bought.

The official release is coming up on 3 years old.

I finally got around to opening my box up and moving the Triax around. I thought I would take some picture to share with you guys. This is the espresso version. I'll still have to wait till tomorrow to get help getting this bad boy upstairs to my media room. I would take some pictures of my prius but I see that we are banned from showing of our luxury sport vehicles.

It really is... compare to the to the textured black, this thing just pops out. I'm thinking about leaving the grills of just to show of more of the veneer.

I came from 1 vx30. I have a 16X20 dedicated media room with no windows just two french doors leading into the room. The vx30 was able to fill the room very well so I'm exited to see the change.

I'm also debating whether or not I would need a second one. I want a second one but I might not really need one in that room. Especially with HOA in my neighborhood.

Here is my first attempt, not sure if I am doing this correctly. Probably will not get a chance to do another today, left my neighbors party to do this, need to get back before they realize I am missing smile.gif

No smoothing, will have to figure that out, seems

Just realized I didn't have the mic in my main seating position. It was about a foot to the left, a foot in front and a foot too low.

That is a similar peak I had with dual XV15's, adding the third really smoothed things out. Do you have another spot for the 3rd Triax other then behind the couch?

I do, either up from with the mains, along the right side wall, or in the corner behind the other two.

I would try along the right side wall and keep the 2 behind the couches. Nice extension btw, look to be some real bottom dwellers!

Here is another one with 1/3rd octave smoothing at my main listening position.

I am surprised at the big hump, I would think Audyssey would remove that...

OK, I am officially an idiot....

Had pure direct turned on and was bypassing Audyssey XT32, here is a graph with it enabled, I am pretty happy with this considering I just pushed them behind the couch and did no sub crawl or anything of the sort. Looks like +/- 3db down to 7hz right?

I I hope I am doing this correctly........
